Let us discuss what Open beta stages are for. Open betas are for stress testing ,so the argument not to wipe being "Because to many testers will be flooding the starter areas" is not a very good one in light of what Open beta is usualy for.

If there is a game changing patch between now and OB , this would further the reasoning and stance of/for a wipe.
 

Why would you even start a thread like this?

of couse they are going to wipe after open beta, to get rid of all those accounts of players who wont be paying.

We know this already. Well, us people with brains do anyways

And there are easier ways of getting rid of peoples acounts then a server wipe. Thats not a very smart statement on your part.

Open Beta -----> End of Open Beta (Wipe) -----> Headstart (Two Days Before Release) -----> End of Headstart (No Wipe) -----> Release (No Wipe)

Learn to read...  They are gonna wipe the servers again right before Open Beta starts!

For most of you in the thread, I'm not sure what is difficult about this, but he is talking about wiping the characters tonight, after preview weekend + and before open beta.

It is beyond me why Mythic would not want to stress the starter zones on servers in a open beta. Easiest way to do this is wipe the servers before it begins.The info gained under massive population loads helps tweak and adjust hardware for servers and much more.

I have a feeling that there will be plenty of load on the starter zones.  The amount of people they are letting in for open beta is a lot higher than the preview weekend and will probably end up necessitating additional servers.

However, If you are worried about people being higher level than you in beta, then, uh...yeah.
