This is not meant to be a flame of any kind, but rather as a warning to stay away from the game "2Moons", and be advised to stay away from any "acclaim" (new owner, the name was bought FYI) games. If you didn't know, something bad happened to 2Moons character database some time last week.

And now countless people can not log-in to their accounts, comming up with a strange "ID Error". And even if you do get your account back, you will probably find your characters deleted!  I had several accounts and only one was restored properly so far.  And only then after several emails over several days.

I payed around $150USD in their item shop over the last few months.  And now my investment (along with all my investment in play time) is gone.

Make your players/users responsible to restore their accounts and characters WTF?   I'm the one responsible to fix my account after they F'ed it all up, and paid real USD I was happy to pay at the time? They never heard of a "backup" before?

It has to be the worst operated MORPG in history.  Be advised play something else besides "2Moons", and not play any future Acclaim MORPG unless you want headaches and loose/scammed real money.

Never play the free to play mmo's that sell items in the mall that make your toon better. There are a good handfull of them that sell items that dont make you better than other players. It would be a cold day in hell before I gave a dime to these free asian games. The people running them are no better than gold farming rings that cheat, steal and flukc people over to get what they want. If given the chance I bet they would cut the throats of young kids to steal their lunch money or shoes.

Just think how much cash you lost, you could have bought a non asian pay to play mmo and had some left over for a few months of play. Most free asian item mall mmo's are run by seedy, shady people.

LMAO Guitano. First of all i doubt any company would pay people to cut childrens throats, thats being very unrealistic. and most mmorpg's played now are asian based. WoW is not the only mmo being played out there. and ones that have item shops are not trying to scam you, there just trying to make some money for christs sake, no doubt if you were the owner of a company that publishes/develops MMORPG's you would have one.

Funny. How dare those people try and make a living! 99% of these people arent scammers - just people taking the initiative in a capitalist system. If they are all "scammers" then they wouldnt still be in business. Don't let 1% of them ruin your view of some games that rival the P2P MMORPGs.

Panzer you totally missed the point of his comment. He;s referring to the item mall and the asian industry that runs the game.

There r some bugs in the game and u cant blame Acclaim for them cause its OB. I understand u lost a lot of money. I have been playing their games 9dragons, Bots and 2moons and a lot of money too. My only problem is with hackers in Bots. Which they r cleaning up and patching regularly. And the big problem with 2moons I faced is the dc issue which lasted for 2 months. Their customer response is worst these days because of the massive complaints they r receiving. Too few support teams i guess.

Hate to bust a bubble, but I'm an oldly when it comes to rpgs.  Been playing a really long time.  Although I love the 3d platform games. I rarely play online. As for what I do play,  the only one of any use or good, as far as getting what u do pay for in usd.  Darkswords,  it is 2d but has the best as far as maps, items, and people.  It is great for both kids and adults.  Try it u might like it, small server download that has no problems.

This has nothing to do with Acclaim,2moos or whatever. Its hardware and it can crash, brake , burn up whatever and thats just something that can happen to ALL mmo's. Thats life and it happens to all of us.. so move on..

No. Corrupted and deleted characters do not happen all the time. I still have a character in EQ1 I made on it's release day that I occasionally visit and whom is perfectly intact. Indeed, though I have played most major MMOs released since EQ I can still access each and every one of my characters in all of them... Except SWG's, of course ... Concerns such as this are why I never seriously play MMOs except from big companies or small companies with a good fanbase and/or long history; like CCP.

I really don't think this story says much about item malls vs monthly subscriptions, though, just the lack of quality of the company in this case. I think item mall supported games can work, but their operators get too greedy and make the items too powerful and too costly. A game supported by an item shop shouldn't cost much more than 15$ a month for your average player. But with most games with item malls it's easy to spend many times that, and often it's even  required.

Once western developers start using item malls-- and they will because it uncaps the amount of money an MMO can make per subscription-- the prices will become much more reasonable and it won't effect balance so much, just speed and convenience. Of course there'll always be complaints of balance.

im starting to notice that i have a problem with most of they'r games... i like 2moons im lvl 44 bagi its pretty good game in my opinion( only good game that came out of acclaim ). but theres those pkers ( no mercy for the weak, i guess ) and gold spammers that acclaim cant stop, but now i cant play more than 2 mins because of the new patch ( i disconnect every time ) the real bad thing is the service... no help what so ever.
2moons is alright but it needs to be under a company that knows how to run a mmorpg

This is messed up. The company should restore items and characters if it's their system error. They don't know "time is money"?

It happened to one of my friend as well. She emailed them 3 mails in a week, no reply. Then they finally restored her characters, but without any items. This is totally BS. Today they can ignore all the players incident due to their own fault, I don't think they will provide any help to their players in the future.

I will not play a game which is run by some company who doesn't care about their own players.
