1. Is there durability on items? If there is, can the items be repaired when they break?
2. Does your character need to eat to live?
3. Are the apartments instanced? Can you store your items in them?
4. In addition to apartments, are there banks or warehouses?
5. Is there an offline messaging system (e.g. post office)? Can you tell if someone has read your message (e.g. read readreceipts)? Is there a notification when you receive a message in your inbox?
6. Can you have pets and/or mounts? Do they need to eat to live? Are the vehicles the "mounts" in this MMO?
7. How are the controls? Can you use the two-mouse-button run method of moving (e.g. like World of Warcraft)?
8. Is your avatar class-based or skill-based? If you mess up your build, can you pay to correct it, or do you have to start over?

1. Yes, there's durability damage. Items can be repaired if you have the skill, or you can let other people do it for you. At some point you can't repair an item any further (Example if you repair an item from 10/100 it might take durability damage and be at 97/97) making it useless. This is not as bad as it sounds though.

2. No you don't need food to live, but there are lots of consumables that buffs your character.

3. Your apartment will be like your bank, items will remain in the containers even if you leave the apartment, same goes for clan apartments.

4. Read above.

5. There is an ingame browser that allows you to send ingame mails, pick up quests, forums etc.

6. There are plenty of "mounts" in the game, both flying and ground. Such as a 4X4, tank etc.

7. I'm not entirely sure about this one, but i don't think that's the case.

8. You would have to screw up big time to be forced to reroll, and even at that point you will be able to get your points back at the cost of experience.

To answer your 7th question, you move around in a 1st person manor (although 3rd person can be activated). To target a player you must keep your mouse over them like in a fps. The best comparison is if you have played deux ex, the combat is nearly identical to it.

Overall its a pretty good combination of how good your fps skills are, how well geared your player is and how well you have distributed your skill points.
