...and ive been nothing but impressed. This game "feels" very much like what Diablo 2 would be if it were set in a post-apocalyptic future and had a 1st person view feature. Im having a blast. Nothing says "fun" like mowing down a horde of demons and undead monsters with a heavily modified fire-slinging rifle of death while your little bot army follows you around, helping out here and there. I got over level 45 in AoC on two different characters within a month of release (( and im a roleplayer who spends alot of time just hanging out talking / playing out stories with other characters, so that is VERY fast for me )) and I am already bored out of my mind with that game. Having seen whats to come with HG:L 's 2.0 and 2.1 patches, I think ive found my new game for the summer :D! |

My dog ate your homework. |
Yeah, I heard that it's improved a lot since the release. Might give it another go, it's been collecting dust on that shelf for too long... However, I'm not really convinced it's going to do much for me until they implement some quality PvP modes. |

Apparently 2.1 is the PvP patch, and its coming soonish according to what ive read. :)
And to the other guy who posted saying this thread is meaningless/useless. Well, sure it is, everything on this site is if you cut to the core of it. Its a site dedicated to the meaningless/useless passtime we all enjoy, and if I want to post about how im having fun with a new game, in that game's dedicated forum, ill do it as much as I please. You sir, can kindly STFU and GTFO. |

I have the exact opposite feeling myself. HG:L is a horrible disappointment that gets boring quickly. Add to the fact that they shipped it out with most of its subscriber featureset unimplemented, with more of it still unimplemented at half a year after the launch date, and you have a major debacle that just doesn't live up to its hype. All you need to do is read the developer's rant about the game to understand what a colossal failure it really is. But, if you enjoy it, more power to you. |

You kill the Joe, you make some moe |
Its nice to play a more modernized diablo style game. Thats what I loved about it as well, and the patches are doing extremely well in getting the game all cleaned up and adding new content. |

At $20 and v2.0 coming, it's becoming a pretty nice value game. Hardly the vision they had for it, I'm buying 2 most likely when V2.0 gets nice feedback from it's fans. |

I kind of stalled out on this when I hit the third nearly identical quest hub. Still, a lot of the changes sound pretty good, and it's still on my hard-drive. I may stick my head in after the next big patch. |

| I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us. |

IMO HG:L is now at the point where it should have gone live. I've only ran into a few bugs and they were cosmetic. The classes are more balanced and the content is continually growing. The game was released way too early (I'm betting EA has something to do with the release date). If you like Action RPG's you will probably like HG:L. It is definitely the best graphic hack-n-slash game out right now. and you can purchase HG:L for under $20 at Amazon.com now. |

I'd sure say it's worth it for $20. The game may not be all-encompasing like other MMOs, but it will likely give you a month's worth (or more) of quality entertainment, and you can always come back at a later time as they release new patches. Is this game great? No. Is it a lot of fun? Pretty much. It just gets old relatively quick, and you will likely not subscribe to it on a continual basis. But as far as patches go, it's only $10 for a month of new updated content, and you can rejoin/cancel to your heart's content. |
