I admit it. My Google-fu is weak. I'm trying, and failing, to find an online manual for Saga of Ryzom. Granted, there's no guarantee that'll be the same in the upcoming incarnation, but I was hoping to have a good starting point for the game lore and mechanics.

I stumbled across what's apparently a German wiki, but since I'm monolingual (if that), it did me no good.

Any links for the search-stupid?

The only site I know of is the main Ryzom site, and its down for now.  You may have to wait.

This is an old site, you can tell because it has information on "Newbie Islands" for each race, and those are no longer available since "Newbie Islands" were replaced by Ruins of Silan. However, you can find some general information and possible links to other Ryzom sites. Try doing a search for Ryzom Guilds. I hope this helped?

The game manual was available from the official site. I read it not long before the site went down, but didn't download it :(

This site is reasonable for general SoR links. Obviously all the SoR and SoR forum links won't work right now and some of the others are wrong, but it's not bad.

Great stuff all -- many thanks. I'm not really too concerned if the info's outdated; as long as Ryzom doesn't undergo an NGE (shudder) I'm hoping a lot of the core concepts and lore will remain intact.

Well, the manual is not from the box, but it's dated 2006, I think the last version from original Ryzom website so the info are enough updated. You'll find also Outpost info there.

I have also the manual for the Ring, just ask if you wanna read and i'll post the link.

I'm interested in getting my hands on the manuals also.

Yep. Latest version on the Ryzom site was dated early 06.
