MMORPG's have nothing to do with 1st person or 3rd person.

Why would they sell it to SoE ?

 2. He didn't ask if SOE was publishing it, he asked if it would be sold to them ie you know if it does a Vanguard comes out buggy, or has such a small following that it can't support itself (Assuming of course it is released)

If you work for the company my apologies, but once again last I heard there was no announcement of a upcoming beta on the horizon, thus saying that they are almost done seems more like wishfull thinking then fact, If its just that you heard it from some Dev I'd say take it with a grain of salt rather then as ultimate truth considering DF's past track record.

  On a side note I saw you post in another thread that DF would be in Beta very soon (even though it missed a internal summer beta target) So in you book what is very soon?  days, weeks, months? A rough estimate will do.

  Optimism can be a good thing, but passing off optimistic wishes and dreams as fact is blindness in my book.

  1. You know this because you've played it? Last I heard beta startup wasn't even announced.  Was there maybe a trailer showing this, if so I must have missed it. If its info from a Faq or some such how old is the info? (may well have changed)

1. No because unlike you i like to be well-versed on what im talking about. Go read the dev journals.

The game was in internal beta according to Tasos in July of 2004.  For anyone that knows a development cycle internal beta moves into closed beta usually after about 6 months or so and then after another 6 months or so a game will move into some type of open beta phase and go gold.  So according to this statement here Darkfall has been in internal beta for almost 3.5 years.

As they have said they want this game to be as complete and polished as can before it hits beta.
