The only difference between a Troll and a Fanboi is which side of the fence they stand on. |

I did not attack anybody, I merely pointed out the history you can easily reference as proof. You attacked me, personally. (Against the EULA, by the way... but I'm not worried about it if you're not.) |

Also before we started this little chat back and forth, I ask some good questions for you haters/trolls/whatever else you want to call yourself. So lets put this behind us and move back to the topic at hand, shall we. Please read my post above your first one. |

Originally posted by TdogSkalI don't believe it's vaporware. I don't think it's crap. Originally posted by TdogSkalI told you, I'm a morning Person and I work evening-night. We're actually in the middle of an air hockey tournament though, and I already lost... so it's not a waste really. Originally posted by TdogSkalI don't bash you. I try to reflect on the past. I'm glad you're waiting for something that will make you happy. Originally posted by TdogSkalIt doesn't. Does it matter to you that I think there's a possibility it might not be released? Originally posted by TdogSkalDoesn't matter to me what you do with your time... I spend at least 2 hours a day making my cat chase a red dot, want to talk about wasting time? Who said anybody was better? Originally posted by TdogSkalI'm glad you're enjoying the industry I work in. I'm glad you have expectations for future development. Your time, your choice. Originally posted by TdogSkalI never said that. I had that said about my game before, made a believer out of me. Originally posted by TdogSkalDon't bash em really... but they do do abit of badgering all over the place that makes me a little unnerved. I've had people all over things like my blog or MySpace because of my previous history in the MMO Industry. So yes, they have previously attacked me personally elsewhere...
Originally posted by TdogSkalI'm sure they'd bash my game if I opened a Forum for them to do so unfortunately... just to spite me or because they have nothing better to do then that. Originally posted by TdogSkalDarkfall does not scare me... it's not anywhere near what I'm working on, so why would it scare me? I don't see how/why Darkfall would ruin EverQuest 2 for me... they seem to appeal to very different crowds. |

Don;t be so sensitive, surely you can see the humour in a game that has announced its release almost every year since 2003? If this game released with its full list of features I WOULD PLAY IT! but until the day its released (probably never to anyone who knows this games history) then this game is just asking for a bit of fun to poked at it. :) |

You know first there is something can be called Project, there are diferent phases to a project one of them "development" . If you meant DF as Project for a decade then i am ok. But you wrong with DF as in development for that long. Do you count the very first meeting where one of the developers may have spoke the sentence "i have an idea about an MMORPG with full loot and PvP centric" as in developement ?

Originally posted by Stanford Design is only one of the first step of the dev process. But if you want to discount that, actual work on the 3D engine was underway in 2000 at the latest. I read somewhere that planning started in 1997, but I am not certain, nor concerned enough to try and find the source. |

Because it would cut into my time trolling these forums, of course! But seriously, does it require some kind of authentication before you will accept the fact that devs dont sit down and start coding at random? All of this starts with ideas, meetings, and paper - well in advance of writing code. EDIT: OK, I took a few minutes away from trolling to dig this up. Not the one I remember reading, but it is close enough. Jonric: Please introduce Razorwax AS. When and how did the company get started? Where is it located and who are the members of the team? Claus Grovdal: Razorwax was founded in July 2000 by Kjetil, Ricki and me. Our vision was to make awesome online games. We had been playing online games for years, but we always felt something was lacking in existing games. Henning joined the team a few weeks later, and Erik joined Razorwax in January 2001. We are located in Oslo, Norway, in new and bright offices, overlooking the river.
Claus Grovdal: I started planning Darkfall about six years ago, after I was tired of MUDs. I had just seen something on the Internet called Alpha Worlds, and thought "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if this was a game instead of a 3D chat client?" I think it was just after having played Ultima Online for the first time that I really started working more seriously on Darkfall. Razorwax started developing Darkfall the same day we got our offices up and running. http://rpgvaultarchive.ign.com/features/interviews/darkfall.shtml |
