This is the way the Darkfall ends

Not with a beta but a whimper.

After recently finding all the founding members or Razorwax and the original creators of Darkfall CV’s in this post, as well as many other Darkfall developers.

I discovered that the Art director of Darkfall is listed as the owner of Aventurine S.A., although his name is Private.

The Art director of Darkfall is Henning Ludvigsen, ergo Henning Ludvigson owns Darkfall!

Wiki knows nothing of the man so he couldn't have done anything THAT bad.

Ricki Sickened (one of the 3 founding members of Razorwax), is the other co-owner or partner, apparently Claus Grovdal creator of Darkfall and founder / CEO of Razorwax is not a partner in Aventurine.

From part of Ricki's CV.

"6 years experience with project management issues as a result of being a co-owner and shareholder in Razorwax AS and Aventurine SA."

There is no witness so terrible and no accuser so powerful as conscience which dwells within us.

I’m wondering if its possible that the the largest investor in Aventurine and Darkfall is actually Henning Ludvigsen.

That would explain why he’s the owner, and possibly why he eventually decided to return to work on the project full time as Art director.

Would also explain why his wife/partner moved to Athens to work on Darkfall as well, a little bit of nepotism never hurt anybody I guess.

Kjetil Helland is also a partner at Aventurine.

Possible explanation is that he has or is still currently employed as a project manage of an oil and energy company and/or a manager in telecommunications in Norway during the development of Darkfall.

He sound like he’s quite successful outside game development, and I can imagine its quite possible that he has also personally invested in Aventurine, that would explain him being a partner.

It increasingly looks likely to me that this game’s development has always been partially or almost entirely self financed by investment from members of the developers themselves and supported by there continued employment outside the company.

Even more so after the creation of Aventurine.

I can now prove that Henning Ludvigson beyond reasonable doubt is the owner of Aventurine and Darkfall, was Aventurines largest investor when it was created in late 2002, and has probably been its only or main source of finance for Darkfalls development for the last 5 years.

From his Linkedin.com CV

Henning Ludvigsen

Art Director at Aventurine S.A and Owner, Aventurine S.A

Norway

From his Website http://www.henningludvigsen.com/wordpress/?page_id=9

At the end of 2002 I transferred profession, moving from commercial advertisement to computer game development. This section shows some samples of 2D art I?ve done for the MMORPG-game Darkfall.

For the game, Darkfall, I am working as the art director, and doing 2D art, 2D textures, 3D models, GUI, special effects, etc…

Aventurine was formed to publish and develop Darkfall at the end of 2002, thats when he moved to Greece from Norway after "selling everything" and when he invested enough in Aventurine to make him the Owner of Darkfall.

In his own words from his website forums http://www.pixelbrush.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=498&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=darkfall&start=0

Tick and tick, well Razz

I USED to make good money in the ad-agency industry, but got all burned out after almost 10 years doing that. Sold everything I had and moved to Greece to work as a computer game developer (in-which I have NO pre-experience, mind you, hehe).

Basically, I have my fulltime job as Art Director in this game company, well more than full time, really. And since this is our first game, the income is nothing to speak of. We bascially do this because we've been burning for this project for MANY years (I've been involved in it for almost 8 years).

But things are hard, and I have to do a lot of extra work to keep things going. I also work for Fantasy Flight Games, and other random commissions and projects that might pop by. I used to do a magazine for a cancer organisation in Norway for 8 years, but they canned me now recently so I'll have to look for something new. Sad

So, basically, computer game stuff during daytime, and during night time, I put on my mask and cape and draw fantasy-related stuff Cowboy

Looking forward to be a real boy with a somewhat normal income again

Well, I don't really struggle. The thing is that I my fulltime job is mainly a project I "have" to be involved in (the quest of my life-kind of thing), and this only leave me with little time for personal painting and other projects during evenings and weekends only. And when I limit myself to only doing fantasy-related stuff, it's obvious I don't do it for the money, hehe. I used to do lots of commercial illustrations, and did quite good with that on its own, but not as fun painting topless chicks and tentacles Razz You can't have one without the other, and I chose fun.

This explains why this project has so little to show for itself after 5 years since Aventurine was formed, after Henning Ludvigson invested enough in it to become the owner, and has worked so hard for so long to self finance his dream project.
