Maybe I didn't say it loud enough.

- FPS/Twitch based combat

- FFA PvP - PvP anywhere.

- Full loot PvP.

- No classes

Darkfall doesn't have to do much to deliver on those.

What do you want, a detailed video explanation of the exact dynamics of looting a player's corpse?

Oh right, I forgot, that's not what you want.

What you want is to troll the game you hate, and you can't think of anything more original than the old "vaporware" crap.

You should get with the times, most of your kind have moved on to trashing the graphics and community these days.

heh this was surprisingly more original than i thought for a response.  but still proves the point that these people just cant admit that the graphics are fine.

"oh damn i just got proven wrong"...."oh well back to the arguement that those screenshots or video must be fake and DF is a big scam"

Sorry we aren't falling for anything.  There will be no pre-orders and we get to try the game before we play.  If it is a scam, it is the worst scam in the history of scams because they wont be getting anything.

This is the basic content of EVERY DF post in existence. So let me ask you this, where is the gameplay?

 

I don't see any besides a huge wall of text telling us how epic all these features and systems are, but where is the proof? You keep justifying the joke of a trailor as "Gameplay > Graphics" yet Darkfall has NEITHER. Where are some pics of the UI? An actual fight that isn't poorly made cinimiatics? I want DF to work as much as the next guy, but you guys are being overconfident and almost naive. This game has yet to present anything.

Latest video showed us the best gameplay of any gameplay video so far. You have to open up your eyes abit mate. Carebear season will soon be over and we can play a real game as a change.

Also, the screenshots dont look 100x better than the video...the video has some absolutly amazing scenes in it, especially since it was recorded on medium settings.

If you look at the scene where there is that little encampment on the river which is followed by a temple in the desert....you see that they are just as good if not better graphics than the screens i posted.

another off the top of my head is when they walk under the overpass and see that tree in the middle of the lake...yep again, you fail.

Sorry but you arent going to convince anyone.  Stop trying to tell us we are falling for something.  If you dont like the graphics, fine.  But unfortunatly for you the vast majority do not agree since they have eyes themselves and make up their own minds.

Understand that video wasn't a cinematic. It was a full 100% gameplay footage video. The only difference is some of the shots were taken by a movable freecam within the engine so they could get different angles and make the video a bit more interesting. It's not scripted. If it was the camera movements would've been way smoother.
I will agree with game trailers being nothing like the game, that is what Aventurine stated they didn't want to do. Also there are a few small shots of the UI and combat as well.

Well the aim was to make sure people can play at playable framerates during 300+ member combat. So there are reasons for why the graphics are reduced. However, those 2004 screenshots are somewhat covered up with heavy bloom lighting. What they have now modeling and design wise is better, but I wouldn't mind seeing it with HDR.
The main thing that I haven't really seen is how PvE content works, or the actual size of the world. But most features in a game like this only the beta will tell, not a 20min video.

Lol, Tasos would be one hell of a multi-tasker if that was the case. Those kinds of people are safe to ignore, and I'm glad you're not grouping me up with 'em. Seeing the game in action is better than any trailer!
