Not that big of a deal, but the PvMP in LOTRO is really awesome.  It just needs a few more areas, and a little more love.  I was pretty bummed to see they decided to cancel the new PvMP area for Mines of Moria, which I was really looking forward to.  God, that woulda been awesome...  I mean, it is such a cool aspect to the game.  They could really do so much more with it and it looks like they are shelving those plans for now.  Another case of cutting content to meet a deadline it seems.

I like the idea of new PvMP areas however, I don't think it was cut for any deadlines... I think it was cut due to most players not caring about that part of the game. I hope it will be added soon after the expansion however.

Can you point me to the press release or the proof you have that it was cut to meet a deadline. Other than your opinion of why it was cut i have seen none. They do what they do for their reasons and i doubt very much they are in a deadline crunch since there is no set in stone release date yet.
 

Can't be in a deadline crunch when the deadline is not announced. All they said was this fall wich gives them a three month window in the fall to get it out. I am willing to bet it is being beta tested as we speak and we still have a couple a month or so of summer left so that makes 4 months before they have to release it. That is almost as long as an average beta for a whole game to be launched.

I'm not sure they ever mentioned adding a new area with the launch of MoM.  I too was under the impression that they were, but I haven't been able to find any quotes to support it. I believe now I was mistaken.  I think I misunderstood some of the comments that have been made about updating PvMP in the expansion.

They have stated that at least at first PvMP is staying on the moors, but also that some big new features are coming to PvP (besides just being autoleveled to 60).  The only thing they have hinted at is relics and realm bonuses ala DAoC.  There is also a strong implication that the moors is being expanded or revamped somehow.  So I don't think all is lost.

I am just guessing that was the reason.  Seems the most likely.  It was said to be in the expansion and now it's not.  Go figure.  Don't berate me for speculating :p  It seems you are speculating as much as I am.  Don't fall in a hyberbole on me.
 

I would rather they release quality tested product instead of buggy stuff.  If they have to wait to do it right, that's fine.  I just am a bit dissapointed that it wont be coming out with Moria, if ever.  I really want to see them boost up the PvMP.

I am sorry if i came across as berating you. Was not my intent. I was just pointing out the reasons why i don't think that it would be a deadline matter. Yes that is speculation on my part cause i have no way of knowing the reason they made the decision they did. It could be that making the biggest seamless dungoen to date is more of a undertaking than they first thought.
 

They have said they will expand monster play with new areas. So it will happen just not sure when. They are adding new stuff to the mosnter play with moria just not a new area yet. So they are boosting it. All good things take time and they have a track record of putting out polished material and have left out promised content in the past to put out  a polished content release.
