When I try to launch SWG it says that my computer may have a virus and it suggest I should do a full scan. Then it gives me a choice if I would still like to play, I click yes and the game instantly crashes. Is this a known problem and is there a fix? |

We have detected an error which may result in the inability for the game to function properly. We recommend you try a virus and spyware scan. Do you wish to continue anyway?
Heres the exact error. I've contacted customer support and they are unable to help. Any suggestions? |

Never seen errors like that before other then warnings that the software is not made by microsoft anyhow does it let you run the game anyhow or just entirely shut down? have you recently checked your computer for viruses etc? sounds like your software is balking sorry not much help :( |

Although I haven't tried SWG on Vista I have seen similar errors on other programs. The solution I found is you have to right click the programs icon on desktop and run it with the "run as system administrator" option in the dialog box. Usually if you do that once a shield will permanently be on that icon and can then be run with a simple double click. |

I'm running this on XP. I've been playing galaxies for 4 years now and I quit for a couple of months. Just recently they reactivated my account for the 5th anniversary trial and now it doesn't work. I can play the game with my other accounts, but it doesn't work for my main account. I have no idea why. Customer service has a listening problem and they insist its a problem with the server my main character is on (Ahazi). How could it be the servers problem when I can't even get to the character selection screen!!!! GRR! Sorry, their customer service just really makes me angry. |

It sounds like your computer is trying to protect you from the horror that is SWG. You might try running a full scan from the Launchpad, but really, if nothing else on your system is having problems, I'd suggest you call it a win and look for some other game to play.

lol not sure what to say if your getting messages on your computer about possible viruses etc sounds like software on your computer although it might not be a virus. I would remove it and all registry files, scan for viruses and any kind of spyware and clean up my hard drive and try again. Sounds like it wont let you boot it up to me . |

Its only on one of my accounts though. It lets me connect with any of my other ones, just not my main account. |

Why, I'm talking about the CURRENT state of the game, not what it was like in 2005 and before... The bugs don't stop where you are at. There still isn't and won't be collision detection. |
