I am glad that you enjoy this idea. As a forty-year old professionalm man with children, the idea that a playground trading card game would entice me back to SWG is ridiculous. I suppose I am not the demographic SOE is aiming at anymore. Pity. I guess I'll have to take my five monthly subscriptions elsewhere.

OK, so the card game doesn't appeal to you, probably has nothing to do with your age or the fact that you have kids.  After all, you're still playing an overglorified arcade game and have multiple accounts to do so?

Hate to say it, but the demographic for *most* of the games we play is far nearer the playground than any forty something year old man should ever be.

Soo you're telling me that an intellectual property that has been around for close to 40 years is built for kids of this generation.....no wonder SWG's is failing.  these geniuses don't know where there cash cow is.

FYI- todays kids think Star Wars is dated. In other words they think it is LAME> Just go to a Star Wars fan fest. 95 out of 100 are adults...who have money...who left SWG.  The new site does look better but has loose ends.

this once again shows that $OE has no idea how to run a game.

we want pre-cu swg not a lame card game. if they want to put a card game in swg then they should rollback to the pre-cu so they can have people who will play the card game.

bioware best be watching this cuz i hope they see that what we want is pre-cu not crap like this

Not to mention that the pre-quels which were meant to bring in a younger audience (jar jar anyone? were they for real? *rolls eyes*) and since that didn't do so well (sorry, but the first trilogy STILL kicks butt over the tripe that was episodes 1, 2 and 3), they're trying again with this new movie coming out in august, which, to be honest, doesn't look all that great. I really do think that Lucas has forgotten what his "space opera" was about (his words, not mine) and turned into "Barney the purple space dinosaur hour, with bubbles, the dyslexic creepy clown that just came out from prison".

I feel sorry for you and others like you :( I myself hate the NGE, but I'm also not putting my bets on Bioware doing a pre-cu either. They've pretty much implied as such in previous interviews. In fact, I believe they implied it'll be somewhat like WoW but with it's own "unique" differences.

You miss the point. The fact is, to game companies I am worth precisely five times as much as the average teenage gamer.

Oh, and I am actually the target demographic that the majors do want, from Turbine to Blizzard - because I have money, time and influence that I can use for their good or ill. That's why the Blizzard ads star William Shatner and Vern Troyer and not Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron.

And it was
