From what I have read if I buy whatever the latest expansion is then I get all the previous expansions and game too or do I have it wrong and I still have to buy like 14 things?

You are right. The latest expansion comes with everything. That's Secrets of Faydwer that you're looking for, if you are looking for retail. My husband just got all the back expansions he was missing with the digital download version, so that might work as well.

Just bought the Secrets of Faydwer pack from the SOE site (online, no retail CD's or anything)

My account now has all the expansions, (yes ALL) including alot of in-game items like a worg and shards etc. I'm guessing they are items that came with buying the expansion(s).

Past: EQ,EQ2,SWG,MXO,VG,PS,CoX,GW,RG:TR,AA,LotRo,DDO,EVE,WoW,MCO.
Present: TDU,Forza 2(Xbox).
Future: Stargate Worlds.
Wishlist: Motor City Online Remake.
