I have not
played the game for quite some time. I remember that when I first started
playing this game I thought it was really great. But after a while I got so tired
of all the ganking and flaming (especially of the led) and it was
impossible to enjoy the game at all.

well the ganking and flaming really varry depending on what faction you join. but i would guess that yes, from when you started playing, as the games progressed and gotten more organized, its calmed down |

Ganking decreased? For real? That was a REAL pain for me in this game. Team ganking,LED ganking,Merc ganking,other faction ganking,area ganking. Chuck in some DC issues,crap shooting system and FOM was a nightmare I tried to struggle through. I had some good times in the GOM though for a while, with relevant peace. In fact,when I joined the GOM my enjoyment rose 8000%. But then I hated the whole shooting system and payment losses every few days. And that being a Grunt seemed the only good option. Still,FOM has good gameplay mechanics. I may return to FOM over the summer and re-join the LED or something. Thanks for providing me with some optimistic news over the game's future. |

GoM for life, I always were in that faction and it rules as much as it ever did. The DC problem you talk of was REALLY bad in the end. Got worse and worse, but then they closed servers for 3 days, and guess what... I have pinged out 2 times since, both local reasons. The servers are VERY stable now. Back then it was a matter of time, now its really rare!
And yes... My Seed of Life insurance hasnt been worth it yet... Luckily!!! I mean you can still get killed! But random deaths and "oops, what the hell why am I dead" because you went to the kitchen for a cup doesnt happen no more! |

U say your seed of life hasn't been worth it yet, but you forget its now 10 times better then the other clones, besides pricing. Seen time takes as long :P
Anyhow, the game will improve. I hope they add more stuff very soon, and that we then finally get to see some advertising and a growing player base. Also check the ''ToDo List'' It gets updated now and then :) http://www.fomportal.com/index.php?page=text&text=development_todo |

You now a days dont got too much gankers anymore, but you got big fights though. And I dont know if you used Ventrillo before, but if you get ganed, just shout where and by how much ppl you are getting attacked and there will be some guys to help you in just a few seconds! (But be warry that they might be too late sometimes, but might retrieve your loot if they kill the one who attacked you)

Im saying its not worth it because, while it is good and all, I rarely die due to the fewer ganks, and so it is not worth it to have expensive cloning insurance. Note that they changed the clones, so now they all take the same time to complete. |

You just need to learn how the game works. I got to admit, when I started in this ghame I thought the same, after a day or two a few guys helped me to understand the game and now I am addicted to it!!! |

I will challenge that point of view any day! Out of personal experience... As I said, FOM requires more from the players, you dont lean back and get entertainment. You dont play fom, you live it! You have made your mind up, and for some, this game dont work. For others, its pure magic... |
