I have played anmost every MMO on the top 10 list for weeks or months.. I stick with FoM because its unlike any other MMO, you jackasses need to PLAY the GAME before you CRITIZIE it.   And by play i dont mean stick with it for 20 minutes and say this is gay.  After a week of playing FoM i was instantly hooked.  This game has an aspect that no other MMO's have touched

i played this game for 3 weeks, so dont tell me not to criticize this game. the only aspect this game has that no other mmo has is the aspect of not having anything. As a result everything in the game is player created, and this everything in the game usually consist of standing around doing nothing but RP. this game is crap and your just too deluded to realize it.

this game is like those online, browser based, 3-d worlds that popped up everywhere a few years back. some avatars and some buildings and people walking around pretending they were roleplaying.

don't get me wrong, i am an avid roleplayer, but one of the basic tenets of roleplaying is that you are able to affect the world in a perceivable way (should you chose to do so). from tabletop;

"i try to bash the lock open with my two-handed mace"

*gm rolls*

gm: "you successfully manage to force the lock"

this doesn't exist in this game. it's a static world and for some reason people have decided that because it is empty it must be for roleplaying. no, it's empty because it is an empty world - or because it's in late-alpha (as the rest of the mmorpg industry calls it).

the game looks terribly dated (i hear it has been in development for 4 years?) and they're taking subscriptions for a game that is barely scraping through alpha after that length of time? they've probably hit serious money trouble, not a good sign for the future and not a good idea to invest your time in it.

and on the subject of investing, the game has a decent enough market (which is probably it's only defining feature). heed my advice, though. you'd be better taking that $12 a month subscription and investing it in a REAL market - that's the only conceivable way you'll see a return on your investment (even if you lose it all, it's a hell of a lot more exciting).

i've been playing for several weeks now and have met nobody's avatar, only spoken to them via chat. mmorpg? ahahahahahaahahaha, that's funny.
