The good thing about an MMO is that if you get a permaban you need to spend a lot of cash to get back in. Let them cheat if they want, but it'll cost them if they get caught.
The sad part is that many of the people who cheat don't care about money. I knew a guy in WoW who had 4 accounts, one character of each class and each major talent spec, he had bought or powerleveled all but 2 of those characters. He also purchased gold on a regular basis to buy mounts and gear and such for these characters. The guy would drop hundreds of dollars a day and not even blink.
The REALLY sad part is that he got caught, and they banned all four of his accounts, and all he had to do was email support and say "it wasn't me, I didn't know" and they gave everything back.
EDIT: It's the same reason item mall games work at all... the vast majority of us think it's insane, but there are people who think it's totally awesome that they don't need a subscription and can pay money to "enjoy the game better."

i want to get like maybe a minimum of 25-30 fps in shatt on a weekend.
You will almost certainly need a better video card, but the rest of it should be perfectly fine.

If you're not excited about vehicle combat like freeing a dragon and then mounting that dragon to fight your through a tower, using a gyrocopter to air rescue people or riding a horse and throwing flaming oil at werewolves then there truly is no hope for you.
Couldn't have said it better myself. WoW or not, these things are worth getting excited about.

... we said "Look, we're not interested - we don't care if we lose money, but if you put this thing out there, users are going to hate it, and it's going to be a bad release."
Who was this person and what have they done with Smedley?

Have instances for the raiders with harder bosses and better loot and instances for casuals but the tier gear is X.5 whereas the hardcore content will be X.0 gear (ie hardcore instance has tier 8 and the more casual tier has 7.5).
Funny that you should suggest this, when it's largely what they've been doing all along. This is exactly what they are trying to get away from. The only problem I see here is that everyone is assuming 10-man is easier than 25-man, which is most likely not true. Casuals are tired of being treated like second-rate players, even though they pay just as much as the hardcore. Blizzard wants to level the playing field, and allow epic gear across all forms of gameplay. If anything, this is long overdue.
Are you still playing (or subscribed to) your first MMO?
