Im not going to separate the game into categories. I won't even come up with a fancy excuse that will fool all of you into believing that the categories are a waste of time. The truth is I'm just to lazi to write them, so I'll just tell it like it is...
Everygame is flamed in some way. Art is not made to be perfect, we are not perfect. We have different views, tastes, and preferences that are everchanging. In my life I haven't said that any Mmorpg sux , just that I would prefer not to play it or it is time to move on. But what makes or breaks how you use your time in a game is the people you meet and you attitude.
Many people buy way too much into what other people think and can't think for themselves. Listen to me... There is a fluctuation in sides to any arguement. For instance there is people who would never dare to even download MS, others who play 2333+ hours a day, others who take the time to write a guide, and most who are somewhere in between.
Going into MS you know what the graphics are, and some of the things you may do. Personally meeting people on MS is like a fantasy. Then getting to a higher lv, you can help people and do many more things. Many of you limit yourselves to grinding. For instance...
A few of my guild mates got bored, and played a trick on me, that was very unique in my opinion, and I played it cool and we laughed it off in the end.
Another time a guy came up to the mountain in the highest point of Perion and asked me for advice. I was laid back in my chair getting a tan, and then off the top of my head me and my sly character gave him like 20 guidelines to follow, and he got really psyched, and it was like a filmark moment to me. I felt to that player like what the rodent was to the TMNT.
I told some funni stories to my guild mates about my life too, like the time I was 11 and I got drunk on a unique brand of energy drinks in San Fran, and they thought it was hilarious. I got close to another of my Guild mates, and he was dealing with problems at home like pot, getting drunk, and s3x. All temptations he shouldn't buy into and we got along better kinda like brothers.
I'm chock full of stories. You've heard only a small fraction of what I've been through in only 4days.
I have a lot more to say, but Ill move on to other things at the moment.
Having fun in a game is all about getting creative. Thinking outside the box, and doing the right thing. MMORPG is a wonderful sight that acknowledges many MMORPG, but too many people judge too harshly of the bat.
There is a lot to get into on MS, and many wonderful people to meet. Those who stick with MS in the long run don't think about it being boring or a waste of time. They enjoy every second of it.
WHAT'S IT MATTER HOW FAST YOU LV??
Let me explain to you what I mean...
In game A you can get to lv 1000 in one day after three hours of playing humbly and the cap is lv 1000000. After lv 500000 lets say the curve becomes a little more steep and it takes longer to lv.
In game B you can get to lv 10 in three hours. The lv cap is lv 200. After lv 25 the lving curve is a little steep for some players.
In game C you can get to lv 25 in three hours, the cap is lv100. After lv 40 the lving curve becomes very steep.
Now what is the similiarity between these three games? What is my point? IT'S NOT HOW MUCH YOU LV!!! Everyone has the option to play for the same amount of time. What matters is how you lv! People who say grinding is the problem, just don't like grinding, and thankfully nobody does, and MS isn't as centered around that as most would think.
I have said this before and I will say this again...
I've played at least a quarter of ALL F2P.
But i enjoy most of my time out of all those, including the 3-d ones, in MS. And that's me in particular.
Now let me recommend to all of you on what you should have depending on your playing style...
Magician: If your into being powerful, and enjoy the fun graphic animations. Your willing to put up with buying MP Pots. If it's something your into go 4 IT!
Warrior: Warriors get an AOE Skill in there first job class. This is unique only to warriors. Altho people may be discouraged that they don't have any long distance attacks the Aoe skill is well worth it. Personally i picked this class, because of the many guides i read and after weighing the pros and cons this was my pick. But again that is not to say every other class isn't just as valuable.
Thief: They have stealthy techniques, good aim, moderate strength, long-distance attacks, somewhat moderate to mediocore hp, and a nice look. They are hard to train, but well worth it, it that's what your into.
Bowman: Awww... Now the Bowman! LongDistance and AMAZING AIM, good attack, and not much I know about this class, but that's just as valuable as every other class.
Now all the classes are balanced. If they where not everyone would pick the best one. Everyone has there advantages and strong points at different times.
The Fastest Way to lv is too do KPQ, sell the items you get there in the FM/FMT(Free Market) and then buy potions and w/e else you need and do quests.
The best way to meet people is too go to channel 1 in Kerning or Heneseys or anywhere else and chat it UP!! Altho you can meet people virtually anywhere.
Get involved in A GUILDDD!!!!!! You have tooo, and find a good one too, because that's one of the most important partz to playing. Have a good time, and be a good person. Pick players up when they need your help, and never stop trying.
Don't play because I make the game sound good, and others make it sound bad. Do or don't play because you have took into consideration the opinions of everyone and your own judgement and therefore came to a decision.
Overall: MS is~~~ what we make it.
Everysingle one. If you want to give it another chance or get a good fresh, give me a howler. I would love to hear from you and talk to you in "person", as a matter of speaking. =]

Edit::Lol, I changed the title from Review&Rant to Rant&Review... Sorry it felt necessary!haha![]()
Lol, Some of you may heard of this saying before. Very popular saying, but...
"I'm a gamer, I have plenty of lives."
Now... MOVING ON!>.>
Srsly, how can you flame the community.
I've met some really awesome people and have great stories to tell about it and memories.
Actually. I got to lv 25 in 4 days.
I did the kill 999 monster quests in one day byh soloing, and it is true that I only got up a couple of lvs but I don't mind. I am actually a top notch grinder, but that's not why i play MS. The people in my opinion are amazin'!!! In games i usually get bored because... of the community not the graphics, but in my opinion the graphics are way 2 amazingly done.
Getting... .2 or.6 exp is a blessing. Believe me...
That's it!!! You all have pissed me off. That's right I have a temper with an occasional few mood swings and now I feel like writing a review for MS. Better get started.
I think MapleStory is improving.
But... There is no scamming involved. No matter the case, you, the player, THE GAMER takes the time, spends the time to use your money. No one is forcing you, perhaps permoting it. But what doesn't?
Ohh yeah... Bud Weiser just scored 30 seconds on the Super Bowl, that's three seconds less then the 3Ply of Toilet Paper Commercial!! That must be a scam because everyone wants Bud Weiser and they are commercializing there product.
Seriously?? What do you all expect.
Nexon gives you everything they have promised too, no question about it.
The economy is somewhat involved in NX, but if that's your best reason not to play then leave.
There are many angles to a situation, and what some don't realize that if you got to a store that offers Nexon Cash Cards, like I did and pay 25$ for 25000NX Cash, then you will know how it feels to invest in something.
How you spend to waste your time is YOUR CHOICE.
And...
Have you noticed that the news and other things focus the majority of there time on the bad thingz that they can find. For example...
They don't say MS is fun to meet new people on, and that there is a lot more to it then meets the eye.
Everything has its ups and downs, but that's not my excuse. You make your own choices, if you feel that you've made a mistake, learn from it and move on. Don't waste my time by reading your flame, because if it's really all that bad, then...
MOVE ON!!!!
Lol, and this thread started in 2007 btw for anyone who hasn't noticed.![]()
Haha!!
I just learned something like 5 seconds ago. Most people who are in love with there game don't care what you people say, and you can't blame them. Sure I do care what you guys think personally. But in the end I love MapleStory because of what it's truly made for. Which is chatting and exploring together.
I'm almost positive all my friends will quit but I will endure because i just love playing and this game is right for me.
Now my opinion on MapleStory...
To me MapleStory has very good security compared to other games. No! You can't edit and get w/e you want, that's a lie. You can't get infinite anything. It's probably happened before, but those mistakes are fixed and are further prevented in the future. It uses GameGuard, which is really a waste of space for the computer but it's really good for preventing hacks or anything that should be prevented.
My initiative to play an online game is not for the graphics. I have invested 25$ into my character to make him look cooler with a card i bought at Target. Now you don't have to do this, but MS is simple and wonderful. There is a hell of a lot of bad people and just as many good ones.
One thing I've noticed in LIFE that applies to so many things is... the more good things there are to something, the more bad things there will be, and people only notice the bad things for the majority and don't even realize it. When and if they realize it, there insight changes drastically. For online games usually the main stimulation that gives intiative to play is sight. Because other sense that are used but don't apply in a pleasurable or drastic way.
I don't play to Grind, altho i do and i love it.
I love to meet all the people, and watch the game grow. People come and leave, and grow apart, but to me it's not a task to get on everyday or a duty, but simply a way to have fun.
I've tried nearly every F2P game there is, and one FPS, and MS is the first game I have EVER spent my money on. Why did I do it?
Because even before I started playing, I decided to invest something in it. PEOPLE!!! A game feels a lot more important if you give something to it.
You do not have too, and you are free to have fun any way you please. I am disappointed at your opinions of the game, but regardless it still stands and flourishes to this day and many days to come.
The people who leave and better to forget, and every is made to embrace with an open mind and full heart!
I am involved in school sports.
I have exceptionally good classes.
I've met my share of people.
But... If MS was commercialized in a different manner by someone you really admire you would play it too.
Ever heard of the saying...
Life is 20% of what happens and 80% of how you handle it?
Emotions are a state of mind and that includes fun. Your reasons and reasoning guide you to picking a game you may enjoy...
And I have found my dream game, because it suits me. That's just who i am...
The biggest factor in determining ANYTHING TO ANYWHERE 4EVA is Circumstance. Just how you get into the game by pure chance. It is valuable and something that rather finds you.
LOL, I can't even begin to tell you the stories I have from MS. Many wonderful times and memories, and after the content patch Im going back to play.
Bye.![]()

I just started on it recently. Lv 25 in 4 days.:D
I absolutely agree with the Maple Drama. Its such an awesome game and altho i might regret it, ill grind like there is no tomorrow. I've spent 25$ for a Nexon Cash Card. Tricking out your chracter actually does give good incentive to play. It's amazing how with a few dollars there is so many possibilities and almost everyone is unique in some way. The Graphics in my opinion are EXTREMELY well done. I look around and I say to myself, sure it's 2-d but the graphics are breathtaking if you take time to look. It's not just a few trees here and there, a blue sky, an ocean, and some sun, like in 3d games. It goes beyond all that.
Now this is my opinion.. BUT!!!
I will name a few reasons why you stopped playing in my opinion.
#1 You got hacked.
#2 You put endless hours into your character as well as loads of cash and it was all taken away from you in the blink of an eye.
#3 You put too much on the line. There was no reason to be afraid tho, but it was all in vain when a great player fell because of an unfortunate circumstance.
Perhaps you will come back someday.
Wether that's a good thing or not is not for me to decide.
Add me if you come back.![]()

How many players does an MMO need to be considered a success in today's market?
