- Is 1 gig of ram worth it?
XP only supports 3 gigs of ram, Vista a lot more, depending on your version. Not sure how much ram the cheaper versions of Vista support, but Vista Ultimate supports 64 gigs of ram.
You can easily get 4 gigs without any problems
