    • Early access download errors?
    • I got my email 3.5 hours ago. I'm at 55% with 2.5 (approx) hours to go. After the speeds ramped up the least I've seen is 700KBps and it's pretty regularly at 800+. No errors.

I heard that some people had issues when they accidently parked the p files in their desktop folder.

    • Downloading release client
    • The release download isn't installing. It's just downloading a bunch a files and you will run a setup file when it's finished.

You can remove the old software safely enough while it is downloading UNLESS you put the new download in the same directory.

Actually you don't ever have to remove the old software but it's useless and will just be wasted hard drive space.

    • First twenty levels still free from the monthly charge?
    • I doubt it will be immediately in place even if it is in the works at all. They will want all the subs to buy as much as possible initially. 'Free Trials' usually come when the game company wants to generate a surge of players after the regular sales tsunami has died down.

    • See here what kind of players AoC attracts
    • If you look at the number of posts..okay sizable number but if you look at the repeat posts for people who kept re-posting and think in terms of ratios what are we talking about? 75 people out of how many thousands of regular posters? .01%? There are more people who should learn to guard their comments where I work around the water cooler every day.

In every cross section of people there are alwasy going to be idiots and fools. An absolute statement of 'look what kind of people AoC attracts' is 99.99% inaccurate.

Heck. I was in the 'limited' OB last week and there were plenty of 'twits'. I was half tempted on a couple occasions to sound off on them but I know better. (/ignore <name>) then I wasn't bothered anymore. They were received a passive rebuke they never knew about when I wasn't reading thier subsequent posts and possily helping them. (I tried to help as many folks as possible via /tell or Global chat as possible..the twits missed out on the potential)

Absolute statements about everything are often only absolutely inaccurate. Consider that.
