I am genuinely shocked at how many people here say this game isn't good. So far I've gotten 2 guys 40+ with little to no bugs. I love the combat, though people who INSIST on clicking the basic attack buttons with the mouse just end up severely handicapped, whole thing was designed around using the basic attacks via Q123E.
Maybe I'm one of the few that plays the game on a computer that isn't 4 years old and not trying to crank the settings to max, then blaming any problems resulting on devs.
I see all these people mentioning bugs that I have never seen. Makes me wonder what I'm doing right and/or wrong.
Also quite amusing when people shit on aspects of the game when their rampent in every other MMOG, and somehow AoC is worse for it. Until a good popular game comes up with better shit, you can't deduct a game for having current aspects of the genre.
Well considering adding content and adding code are completely different not surprised their havign this problem. they could have a team of 40 designers on the game if they don't have coders they can't do squat about it. They've been working with content tools for quite a while to add everything thats been added lately.
Its probably actually cheaper for them. Get their law team to file some lawsuit against the hosts, hosts figure its too much trouble and jsut drop the people puttign up the hacks. Money wise, why hire a coder and add them to them the when they could at least slow down the problem by having someone do somethign thats already on the payroll.
they also might be thinking a little more long term. Like getting the more popular areas that the hacks are found shut down THEN patching it.
PoTBS was in abotu the same state its in now before SoE got involved, save for technical stuff like bugs. Vanguard's biggest problem is that it had an absent, opiate addicted moron at the helm named Brad McQuaid BEFORE SoE had anything to do with it. Changes to SWG was LucasArts idea. SoE are publishers of PotBS, so anything bad with the game itself has nothing to do with them. I don't know why I even try though, people on these forums don't seem to be big fans of things like 'facts' and 'evidence', course I take comfort in the FACT that SoE is around, making more money and growing so most people know better, they just don't spout off like children on forums all day.
