I can't remember his name, but the first player to hit max level (at the time) in Asheron's Call was a player on Thistledown. He hit 124th level playing about 18-20 hours per day, never stopping, never chatting likely on a catheter and a bedpan... it took him about a year to hit max. But the game was new, the MMORPG genre was new so people were playing for more than just maxing.
Later a new server was opened and a TEAM of people played a character grinding on Winter's Ebb non-stop, 24-hours a day with a mule train of support characters buffing him and running supplies out to his location and it took about a month to hit 124th level.
Exactly why did the games fall apart to where people can play through the game in a few days?
Sad
agreed.

sick of fanbois and people that don't understand the term "open beta" as defined by it's use of the past several years?

I hate people like sevensodd that complain about the complainers. And I really harte people like damian7 that complain about people complaining about the complainers
And I really, really hate people like me who complain about the people who complain about the people who complain about the complainers
I hate people who comment nonsensically like myself. ![]()
The only thing I disagree with when it comes to your review is with load times and overall performance... I can definitely tell that is your biggest issue with this game, almost every post by you includes something about them (even you have to admit that).

You said yourself in the very beginning of your review that your computer was well below the recommended... the fact that your computer can even run is astounding, supposedly, so why compare your comp's performance to others when most people who will be playing this are going to have well above your specs? And yes, I realize that people are having issues even with high-end machines when it comes to these things, but those numbers are dwindling quickly and are getting resolved.
yes, there will be pay cards, it was on the official site somewhere... too lazy myself to find a link, someone else can if they are willing.
I will be playing on a RP-PvP server, at least to begin with.
...I will have great enjoyment slaughtering those that slaughter the unworthy of... getting slaughtered. I will be an anti-hero, so to speak.

I find these types of people fun because, for me, they are my main source for ganking. I actually prefer protecting people or myself in these sorts of situations rather than ganking others if I was given the chance. I find it more fun ganking the gankers.
If you don't like FFAPvP then, honestly, just go to a PvE server. Nobody is forcing you to stay. The only thing I disagree with is how very little enforcement there is of these servers. If the PvP and RP-PvP servers do become ghost towns (and they will unless they make necessary changes) I will probably just move my character to a popular PvE server if and when given the chance. It is fun for a while but can get tiring if it's ganking 24/7.
What aspect of MMORPG's are you more into?
