People dont remember, didnt played Diablo I guess.
Ok, lets make a list of changes that we DONT WANT on Diablo 3.
Changes that would destroy the Core Gameplay Experience.
Things you liked in D2 that made it great whose change is not negotiable:
I will start with some, you guys follow up adding yours.
1. Any maximum level number that is not 99.
We dont want max level to be 50 or 60 or any other value.
2. Having skills that are non spammable exactly as they were on D2.
Any skill that takes more than 4 seconds of cooldown is a design decision that deviates from D2 core gameplay.
3. The absence of leech affixes/skills on equipments. Like Steal x% Life/Mana or Life Tap like skills.
4. The absence of a Teleport skill.
5. The absence of a Cow Level or a similar. It has to deliver the what the original Cow Level delivered.
It was a high rate xp/time area that could be repeated over and over with good drop rates.
6. The absence of rushing mechanics, where your friends would go out of their way and be able to help you even if they are high level and you are starting so that you can quickly level up to the point where you can play with them and be helpfull.
7. The absence of 1/20 skills, OR a system to cause the same effect: create distinct and meaningfull builds on the same classes, giving the player the ultimate freedom to maximize the skills he liked.
8. The absence of the ability to go over the skill cap using items that give + skills.
9. The absence of the ability to play online with atleast up to other 7 players in the same game.
10. The absence of a long lasting experience up to the level cap similar to D2 PRE-LOD. It would take people one or two weeks to reach level 8x, but 9x and over would take months. That made achieving 9x levels much more meaningfull and rewarding.
