You know, it never ceases to amaze me how a lot of people have one track minds. This interview had nothing to do with SOE's game box. Why would they talk about SWG when that was not the point of the interview. It may be important to you, although for the life of me I cannot understand why. You wouldn't play SWG if it was the greatest thing since apple pie. Read the article again and try to understand what it was about. Obviously it went completely over your head.
SOE had nothing to do with it. Are you just being dense. Or are you trying to create controversy. THE GAME DESIGNER CANNED IT. !!!!! SOE had nothing to do with it.
And the previous poster. How can you be so blind. SOE publishes many succesful games and designs several of their own successful games. Be thankful for EQ. It was the mother of the 3D graphics online games.
And yes.. SOE was involved with Verant. They were the parent company.
And if you do not think that is true.. take these letters and move them around a bit to come up with a different name. QEYNOS.
First off... I don't dislike WoW. I gave it a try and it did not interest me enough to move me from the MMO I was currently playing. I play EQ2 and LOTRO.
I have been playing EQ for well over 6 years now. I played EQ the day of release, EQ first and then EQ2. I am not angry or pissed off. I still like playing EQ2. It is always getting new stuff and things to do, new places to explore, although I still have not seen all there is to see.
And no.. SOE have NOT screwed EQ or EQ2. That is a bunch of hogwash. Maybe you screwed the games for yourselves, those of you who believe that it was screwed.
Looking forward to GU #45. Many many great changes and additions.
Looking forward to the new Expansion, should come sometime towards the end of the year I hope. :) :)
How do you feel about advertising inside games?
