Lag is the the only thing that bothers me in EVE. Everything is is minor compared to lag seen in large fleet ops or popular mission running/economic areas in Empire.
Eve's FREEDOM!!
Yes it's open ended nature and freedom to do what you want when you want. Second to that the player interaction and consequences. Players make and run the universe in EVE and not the dev's with their crappy stories and npc puppets unlike in other MMO's.

Do people REALLY need to continue making these threads? The game is launching in 4 days, if its another AoC you will know in 4 days, some people just feel the need to stir things up with these threads when they know they will have no conclusive answer anyway.
I knew AoC was going to bomb the moment I played it in the "Open **LETS SELL SOME PRE-ORDERS FAST** BETA" phase and because of the closed nature of it's development. Not to mention Funcom's prior history.
Unless Mark Jacobs starts smoking crack for some odd reason and completely destroys the launch servers himself in a fit of crackhead anger I don't see how WAR can fail. WAR brings what DAOC had in it's RvR/PvP goodness along with a interesting and engaging PVE environment and IP that I love which is namely WARHAMMER.
My best combat experiences have always been PvP based. Thus EVE, DAOC, WAR, and yes even in WoW. For PvE I'd say CoH/V is probably the best experience I've had in a group session.

If I was a dev studio wanting to make a Fallout MMO then it would have to be based on the first 2 and Tactics. But can somehow the 3rd one be incorporated into it somehow giving the lore or make it a sidenote if I ever happened to be in the DC area someohow the echo of another Vault Dweller was here? Could be a great challenge to make a MMO out of this gasme but the ideas and stories tied into this game and game mechanics would be interesting to see if ever made..
I have to agree. I would so love to see a Fallout MMO done in the style of the original games. Fallout Tactics was pretty awesome in that the gear you put on would be reflected and put onto your squad members and the combat system was kick ass. Frankly I am not into the 3rd person or 1st person point of view for a Fallout game. I have no big interest in playing Bethesad's overly hyped Oblivion mod called Fallout 3 being that I played Fallout 1-2 and Tactics to death. To bad Bioware didn't get the license because they have shown they know how to continue the great CRPG tradition and maintain the isometric view. Bioware's Dragon Age is awesome in that you can go from 3rd POV or Isometric view seamlessly.
What is your favorite of EVE's four major factions?
