    • Wise move Jason and I hope your free version of Endless Ages has much success!

Is the information about who is on your team available anywhere?

"Please try and make up another scheme about how were going to steal money with our free game."

Ok I will. Transform your website into a service, like a community. Take preorders and charge monthly for that service, not the games themselves.

      Oh wait...

      :)

      Good luck man!

And the developers are Swedish : )  But it looks as a DF clone to me, wonders if they have naval combat?

Wow! A clone of something that dont exist!

Do you mean that this is vaporware too?

Go be a "hardcore" gamer  and feel that you are correct.  The evil machine is watching you.  Rapid Reality controls all games.  Adam has access to your bank account, so on, so forth.

From my count of this thread, its nothing more than 5-6 less dolts I will have I deal with in game.

Time to do some digging myself, nothing better than over zealous gamers that think they understand the world, good content for my readers to laugh at.

      Fin.

I'm more than happy to correct any mistakes i've made in my posts. Just point them out, give proof, and i'll edit them accordingly. I'm not saying that RR "controls" all games. I'm just saying that basically the same people have been involved from Avaria and onwards. Is that not true?

    • I also hate Rapid Reality.

But I do belive they had some talent going for them. When you read about their visions for The Chronicle and the rest of their games it was kind of obvious they got inspiration from http://mu.ranter.net/theory/ which proves that they have good taste when it comes to mmorpg's in theory. They were completely out of touch with reality when it came to turning these ideas into a working game though. That is not only true for the people in charge of all the companies but also for the rest of the employees. I truly belive people like ceasarsghost thought it was possible for them to produce a game. And when he slowly realized it wasnt he felt ashamed and tried to cover everything up, and he still does as if his future in the gaming dev business depends on being loyal to people who have "betrayed" him.

When I collected the info I posted earlier I visited a lot of website's and each and every one had the same style... from x-src all the way to phylon and the new EA... take that for what you want.

I actually dont belive we (the gamers, the ones who preorders) are the biggest losers in this whole mess. I rather think its the ones investing in the games that are. Why would they otherwise change the name of the company every 12 months and make new (but with the same "feel" to them) websites all the time. I mean we are talking about maybe 5 years and around 5-7 different names for the same company and maybe 10 different websites about practically the same thing?

edit: i will try to collect some screenshots of the websites im talking about and will post them below.

edit 2: bah, dont have enough energy now to collect screens of their sites, go to www.archive.org and look for yourselves :) Anyway, it would be kinda interesting to get corporate info about avaria, xsrc, RR, whack, rezilio etc. Anyway to know if someone invested money in them or something?

    • Some of the companies with mostly the same persons:

Avaria Corporation turned into X-SRC which merged with 404Gaming to become Rapid Reality.

Rapid Reality went to shit but the same dudes started up Whack that seems to have reformed into Rezilio.

      Phew!

Anyway, Digital Motion Entertainment is now working together with Rezilio in order to bring you new and exciting games.

Games the above companies have said they are developing:

      Endless Ages

      Museum Lands

      Ancient Lands

      Race Lands

      Hack n Slash

      Tiki Hunter

      Africa

      The Chronicle

      Survival Instinct

      Machines

      Creatures of Night

      Banner of War

      Life vs Death

      Hip Hop Legends

      Phylon

      ---

From what I know only Endless Ages and Phylon (Endless Ages 2) were ever released. Although for the rest of the non-existant games the mentioned companies still took pre-orders.

      ---

Sean Barnes (X-SRC, Rapid Reality) say:

"Jason Lee, and his company, are not any of the above aforementioned companies.  Jason Lee is a old player of Endless Ages that wishes to bring it back online and keep it going.

Doing a pretty good job thus far.

Comparing Jason, to Rapid Reality, is like comparing MMORPG.Com fan boys to intelligent human beings.  Amusing, but pointless.

      Signed;

      Lucid
      Caustic
      Sean Barnes."

The thing here is... Jason Lee and his followers say that they have nothing to do with Rapid Reality (called Rezilio nowadays... Jason Lee bought EA from Rezilio).

But this quote from their forums says:

"Aaron Boucher, Alan Carter (AleinInDLand) and Steve (I think?) are the people from Rezilio who are currently working on EA, but they are not part of the EA team. Of these, Aaron Boucher (Bedbug) was part of Avaria, and the main creator of the Aura engine. I know Aaron was under the employ of Rapid Reality, and I beleive the others were as well."

      To make it short:

Avaria Corporation: Aaron Boucher, DJ Cassel

X-SRC: Aaron Boucher, Sean Barnes, DJ Cassel

      404Gaming: Adam Ghetti

Rapid Reality: Adam Ghetti, Sean Barnes, Aaron Boucher, Rick Wells, Alan Carter, DJ Cassel

Whack: Aaron Boucher, Rick Wells, Alan Carter

Rezilio: Aaron Boucher, Rick Wells, Alan Carter

Digital Motion Entertainment:  Jason Lee, Brandon Brophy

So, if Rapid Reality hadnt changed name to Rezilio it would all be much easier to understand it all.

      Summary of the summary:

Same persons working on the game, the name of the company they work for change every 8-12 months. If this EA version dont work out as planned Jason Lee and Brandon Brophy will take the blame just like all front men have done in the past.
