If the entire argument for why we can't have a scamless, responsible industry rests on throwing taunts like "run to the nanny state," then how are we going to prevent the scams, wholesale redesigns, and unrestrained abuse of the publisher's prerogatives?
The scams aren't going to end by keeping on this course. In fact, with digital distribution, the scams have the potential to only get worse, since there is no accountability that comes from working within a distribution chain.
Congressional hearings have been called for far more trivial things than MMO consumer fraud (like the whole MLB and steroids thing).
The steroids this is becuase it goes on unchecked. They really wanna know how they are getting the drugs. Considering they aren't sposed to be used unless you have a doctors note, or have a condition.
Also, tthe internet which I bleave is considered neutral. So there really can't be any laws ageisnt it. So then it falls back onto people saying. "its too good, to be true, it most likely is."
well keeping the classes generalized lets people have freedom. I mean in a way D&D the prestige classes there where pretty restrictive.
you mean a GTA sort of MMO, its probly at least 5+ years down the road
How many MMORPG titles are you currently subscribed to?
