You're the one posting nonsense, really. What are you entitled to? Oh, that's right...nothing. They said they were going to let you play OB, it didn't happen because they weren't ready. But don't feel like you are losing out on anything, because so far you aren't. Not anything tangible anyway.
That's sometimes how it goes. I can understand your frustration as it has happened to us to with other games. But don't take it out on others simply because they don't have your problem. You could be right about GOA having problems on launch day, since they are having problems with OB launch, but at the same time, realize they have a week to get the stuff fixed. But regardless, welcome to the world of development. You have several different publishers to choose from, but you don't always know if they will be ready or not. GOA apparently wasn't ready. You could try sending your message to the people who count, such as the people with Mythic, so that they can put pressure on GOA.
I will never understand this ridiculous mentality some people have of complaining about people complaining.
We have EVERY right to complain on this one. GOA messed up - there's no denying it.
Now go away, you're not helping one bit.
Though I do have a problem with people who complain about anybody that complains about anything as a blanket policy, I think this is really a clash of cultures issue. The europeans aren't used to being treated as badly as we are over here, and get genuinely offended by the practice of "overpromise and underdeliver" much faster than your average american gamer it seems. In beta, stuff happens.
Clash of cultures.. American or European culture, there isn't that much of a difference I think.
The eu war site is broken thus a lot of eu gamers can't play the open beta so a lot of them complain, as far as I know the american signup pages are just working.. and if they weren't I think there would be complaining as well...
European culture, especially across various countries, is pretty different from ours but very true re our complaints in their position, but there'd be a bunch saying "stop complaining" whereas the europeans seem unified in their derision.

65 GBP? Yikes
I think the key is to be original. Start with something you love, and build a backstory. Great game design comes from within, not by mixing and matching pieces of movies or tv shows. Not to say they have nothing to offer, but your core design and lore should be made for, and by, you. Building the game you would love is good enough, commitee thinking and reshuffling of rehashed ideas is what has the mmo industry in the state its in, all entertainment media for that matter it seems. The greatest games are usually the expression of one person's innermost desires, dreams and ideas, and because we're all human, doing so will strike a chord with others that will appreciate it.
