    I think the pvp even in controled areas would draw more people in. Maybe have seperate areas (islands or another continent ) rich in resources and loot drops that could be contested over by guilds.  This would add excitement, drama , and more to the end game (other than raids).

     

    No thanks. PvP oriented people always believe that pvP will "help" game X. There are plenty of PvP oriented games for you to play. We dont need to change every game to PvP in order for it to sustain itself. Not everyone likes PvP. I do believe it is probably the more popular of the two but that is only because there are more small minded, e-p**N waving griefers on this planet than there are people who like to explore and adventure.

    Im not suggesting everyone who likes PvP is a moron but a lot of the arguments I see for PvP lead me to believe that the more vocal of that demographic are very selfish people who have to have everything their way. If they dont get what they want they bitch and moan endlessly in order to invoke some kind of change.

    One thing I would like to see would be guilds able to wage war on other guilds. I am not a huge fan of pure pvp servers, mainly do to griefing and such, but it would be nice to increase the population on those types servers as well as Xeth and Seradon.

• • AOC bores me, Not going back to WoW, Not looking forward to WaR, Gonna jump feet first into Vanguard.

  • The RP server did merge with Seradon against about 75% of the people will, though it still seems a larget amount of them still play, as for Solo play depends on what you mean by get things done. If its quests sure there are tons worth doing including the Hunters League and URT quests, though as you progress in them you will need groups. Crafting some needs help though most is done with a main and a mule ( Low lvl character for hauling stuff ). So far I am only lvl 23 so I dont know how the higher lvls pane out.

  • From what I hear in the game, Necro's are best at solo'ing followed by the Dark Knight. Though most class's dont really have a tough time solo'ing the Psi's are probably the worst at lower lvl's but with the recent revamp of there dots and abilities even Psi's are good no adays.

  • Well Mike I just re-subscribed to Vanguard like many others I was not happy with the release, but now I am happy to be back. Currently I am a Lvl 23 Orc Monk on Seradon, there are some problems like a lack of high end content, which doesnt really bother me cuz I havent come anywhere close to that content, some hitching is still in the game which was suppose to be fixed with GU5, but also some crashes occur for me atleast at random usually not more then twice.  Alot of people arnt too happy with the addition of racial mounts which take a long time to actually get. It is a good idea too find a guild, even if its a small one mainly because you will need friends and the like to finish up quests. Grouping seems to get easier with everyday, seems more people are pilling into Vanguard that arnt able to play AoC.  As to your questions of Which class and tips, depends on your play style really, this game got everything, good tank, healing class that wears plate ( freaking amazing I think plate wearing clerics), kick ass dps in Disicples and Rangers, and Psi's seem to be more and more popular everyday. So hope you enjoy the game, if you pick seradon hit me up names Adious. This game had potential at launch and tanked, maybe just maybe with enough people, and enough money SOE can turn it around and make this game into what  it was ment for freakin GREATNESS.
