I remember having to run games in Dos. I wish I could still remember how to make .bat files though.
The problem with people and their complaining one way or another is that no one wants to be the ones at fault. Atleast FunCom is running the beta to cover what problems they still have, but it is a two way street. If your system is chugging the game, perhaps some extra ram or a spiffier video card will fix it? Lots of crashes, make sure your system is up to date as you can manage. This means your OS and drivers too.
In the end, it could just be your computer telling you it thinks you should get outside more. Those pesky AI's ^_~
I'm very glad to hear about the CG possibilities. I really, really can not wait to try this game for myself.
Does anyone here offhand no that atleast once the game hits Live, will there be a free trial? I'm really hoping so because before I spend one hundred dollars for a copy of this game for me and my boyfriend to play together, I want to make sure it's deffiently going to keep my interest a while, you know? ^_^

Will you subscribe to AoC?
I wasn't too interested in AoC before beta, but I myself am having tons of fun. There are some bugs and crashes, but looking past those since that can easily be fixed...I really enjoy AoC, so I'm going to be subscribing and might even pre-order from gamestop.
AoC was not my first choice........until I played the Beta and yes I will subscribe cos this game just too fun to miss out.
There were things like the fighting system and the talk about instances/zones and not so huge explore everything world that had me disbelieveing in this game but oh´boy once inside the game all this is not a big deal anymore, its just too fun.
The fighting system is awesome and bloody when you get a perfect combo, the quest-line at start is interesting and makes you wanna follow it to the end, talking and dialogue with NPC`s is just like Elder Scrolls Oblivion. So this beta has won me over. I understand patches and upgrades will come, performance will get better and I dont want to miss a thing of it, I cant wait until I have full retail version of Age of Conan, its gonna be a blast.
I'm glad to see that not only that you know how the real world works (IE glitches will happen anywhere ^_^) but to see someone offer up some insight to how the game play is for those of us who have not been able to play. It's stuff like this that makes me want to try it out all the more. Thank you.
I'm curious about the game myself, but sadly, have not been able to play yet. Can someone maybe tell me about the CG process. Is there alot of customization options? Also, is there alot for someone to do if the tend to solo alot? I'm one of those people, and was curious. Lastly, if you've played other MMO's before, why might this game be better in your opinion?
Thank you.
