This, sir, is a very very interesting thread. I can 100% agree on the fact that investors were a factor in the set release date; how big a factor? Only Funcom knows.

I enjoyed this game 1-20 but like everyone says after the island that was it for me.
I share the same feelings. Tortage was where it's at. After that, the game was whack.

The feature list and the combat. That is enough to make this game head and shoulders better than the rest, IF it ever releases.
Heh, this post makes my head itch... Lol jk, but I agree though +1

Talemire, exactly what leads you to believe those problems will just vanish? Some of the things you mentioned, are things that are inherent to the genre. Others are things that "you" have a problem with. Yet still there are some that just plain don't make sense either.
Actually I beg to differ. I've been playing MMORPGs for a while and in every game I see the same arguments and complaints. It's not just me, however, it's not all the time either. What leads me to state these points lies in the game mechanics the makers of Darkfall (don't know the company name off the top of my head) are pressing. Check out the game's features, it'll make sense.

Okay, I have to admit this to all the Vanguard promoters now. I am currently in a grey area on MMos, looking for a new one. But I must say, the over-promotion of Vanguard is getting VERY annoying. We all get it; Vanguard has had an overhaul. It's a good game. But the problem is that everyone is pushing the game too hard. All you see is vanguard fans bashing AoC on their forums and promoting Vanguard. We all understand Vanguard is a good game now, but stop the overuse of promotion, because it's only turning people away from the desperateness.
Aiight Dr. Phil, will do. Since when does this sort of advice apply to online gaming? So if a group of people come running at you telling you product "A" is much much much better than product "B," you're going to call them desperate? Where can I buy your book? (sarcasm)
