• • Funcom and Eidos announce massive evolution plans for Age of Conan!

  • Funcom isn't even able to get the basic game working. And yet again Gaute and his propaganda team raises the bar of (soon to get broken-) promises even higher.

    btw: I'm wondering in which corner AmazingAvery is hiding these days or if he already changed his name to "AshamedAvery". "siege will be in at launch, drunken brawling will be in at lauch, everything missing 1 week before launch will be in for release'" -weren't these sort of his famous last words before release?

    In fact every innovation announced in month got dropped and the pathetic remains of a game doesn't even contain basic features that were standard years ago. Heck, they don't even manage to get male and female characters balanced, grouping not working, overkill the game with instances which in some cases one can't change due to a bug.

    FAILCOM HAS FAILED AND WILL KEEP ON DOING SO!!

  • Hi folks!

    I've got two unregistered keys for the open beta at hand to give away. (got them from 2 friends who've had enough with the mess the client-download was).

    If someone is still looking for a key, the first two users responding in here with their mail-adress will get the original fileplanet mail containing key, dl-links and instructions forwarded. If you mind making your mailadress public, just drop a short line in this thread and PM me your mail instead.

    I will check back in later.

    Following the discussions on this forum for quite a while, i can think of cases in which in the process of the discussion, when someone posted negative facts about AoC Avery asked them to provide 'proof' or to shut up -while giving proof in that matter meant to break the NDA, what he shurely knew. Thats what was meant with the Avery-card.

    I also know of users who -although being polite- got banned from the forums in the course of said discussions with Avery...likely being reported for NDA break. So, anyone can make his own picture on that.

  • How about this: We wait until either the NDA is lifted, or until Early access begins on the 17th, before making conclusions.

     

    Until then everything you say is simply speculation and nothing more. Don't pretend to have this amazing knowledge of this game when the only ones who are capable of answering this question are under the NDA.

    Just because there is such thing as the NDA, my posting doesn't necessarily have to be speculation. But i see what card you are trying to play here...and it's getting old.

    When it comes to any negative comment, you fanbois either tell people to shut up refering to the NDA or you even try to lure them to break it, so you can go an report them.

    Getting back on the "speculation" thing:  My statement is no speculation as i know what i am talking about - so there is no "pretending" of knowledge as it is knowledge by fact. And now find me the line which breaks the NDA -under which i am not btw. All of what i said is info widely available on the internet by now by the way. Go and try to play your Avery-card on someone else.

  • The world IS NOT open. Period.

    After 20, it is not as ristricted as <20, but is it in no means compareable to ie WoW. The open world to explore and roam free so far only exists in FC's hype ("i was hunting, followed a goat into the woods and got lost..", "areas are huge to explore"-by the devs) and in the offense of some fanbois. This is NOT a game for explorers and adventurers who like to stray off the beaten track as you do it in ie Oblivion.

    There are some areas more open, others very narrow. To an extend you can compare it to Guild Wars in which you have some nice vistas, see some this and that in the distance, but most of the time you can't leave the rails to reach to it.

    Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
