If the game goes horribly wrong and then Cryptic somehow fix it using some old equipment, recalibrating their servers and inventing some form of radiation that has never been mentioned before then..... and only then.. will this be truely STO.

I am pleased to hear the news but will hold my opinions until there are reviews or I get beta access.
I personally think it will pass the time nicely for a couple of months (and there is nothing better to play ATM) then I will do what I usually do.

Find another game to test / play. ![]()
Play it until I get bored then find another and so on.
The only game I played for more than about 6 months was UO which lasted a good couple of years.
And as for promises made by Funcom, can anyone name a subscription MMO that did everything that was hyped about it on release? I cant.
Apart from the fact that now and then I get disconnected from the game (which is not a connection issue on my part) AOC seems to be running well and bloody good fun.
To those that do not like it I simply say. . . . Play something else.
