Not only that, but you can shut down all of Vista's system hogging when you run a game full-screen. It's not hard to do, it's basically an "I-WIN" button for bitch-slapping vista's greediness.
And the reason AoC says "we recommend vista" is because Microsoft was probably like "hay guyz! i has paychek!"

It's not necessarily that good or bad games are over or under hyped. I really think the company just goes "oh. . our game sucks. start the over-hyping drive!" or if they have a good game, they just sit there and laugh at everyone else.

What did I expect? uh.... well, they said it was going to be released in 2 months time, so I expected it to look like it was going to be released in 2 months time.Are you saying that was my mistake?
I mean, seriously, even the most recent beta for Age of Conan used an older version of the game for the testing. The graphics I was playing with didn't look anything like the newest videos that have been released. But that's because they were testing PvP, not how many seizures you can have after viewing their stellar graphics.
It all depends on what they're testing. They don't need polished graphics to test a combat system or how a server does with a certain amount of people logged in.
