I was born, therefore I am. By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Latest Blog Entry - Come out and play...
From my blog The kid inside; My dark passenger. [dethgar]

(Recently while filling out my resume I decided to write a little about myself to go with it. Job experience isn't one of my key focal points, so I needed substance of some kind. So basically, this is a blub about me, what I am, and what I will be.)

I have spent the last five years searching for a way into the gaming industry in this small town of mine. I was born with a genetic neural muscular disorder known as Spinal Muscular Atrophy(a form of Muscular Distrophy). Due to this and the lack of local understanding my short time in college was too much of a strain on my mental and physical well being thanks to poor accommodations by local schools.

I have since spent a great deal of time searching for my calling in life, even trying other career fields(in my own time). In the end for me, all paths have lead me back to this one area. There is nothing I enjoy more in life than gaming and computer simulation.

Since I was a wee little lad, I've always had a very active(and sometimes too active) imagination. I was the type that day dreamed in my classes rather than pay attention. Some would call this a fault, but I have never seen it this way. Life would be dull without my dreams.

My friends and I would always discuss games as if they were important world politics. The reason being, that games tend to have no true limit. It's a gateway to what the human mind and imagination hold. Every idea you've ever locked up inside your head can come to life, allowing people to understand you on a level that words alone could never describe.

It's that kid inside me that will always drive me to play games, with friends, with enemies, even alone. The kid wants to come out and play, so I let it. Not because I'm lazy, or childish, or procrastinating at life. It's because that kid wants, and needs to see every single possibility come to life before its time is up.

Anyway, thats perhaps a ramble. It's fitting though, because that ramble goes on and on in my head all the time. I must let the kid come out to play. I must help create something that can change a persons outlook on not only life, but existence itself. I will never stop trying.

    • I think Gorair's perspective is much more realistic and honest than the OP's. I myself am a Chosen and I find myself to be a god walking amongst the battlefield, I am hard to kill even if they have levels and numbers. Killing a healer is hard to do solo, but in a group you can easily take out healers even if they're cross healing. It's a team game, learn your role, and work with your allies.

... and dont talk about the games in forums? Yeah that'll happen.

Compared to the AoC chatter this site got after launch WAR has been quiet. Then again I've been playing and haven't checked here often.
