Just got mine preordered yesterday at my local Gamestop, and the cashier said she had a few more available still. This is in New Jersey.
while I am enjoying the game, and sure I am going to miss the 2 patches a week, (its like a cool surprise every few days reading what they were putting in or fixing) coming down to one patch a week would be just fine if they weren't so pathetic like today's Patch. Content is what the game is missing and content is what the patches are missing. See the problem?
While I liked the first part of this better than the second, the real question I want answered above all questions, is HOW MANY CHARACTERS CAN I CREATE?
I am an alt junky, I want the choice of being able to log in a different class any time I want for a different style of play. I want what WoW has, unlimited characters(not per server, I realize this). Please, Please, Please! don't do what EQ2 and AoC have done and limit me to only 8 to 10 forever.
while I agree, the content updating is well done, and ALL other mmorpgs out there should use it as an example. I still can't find myself playing this game due to the boring combat mechanics. It's just not fun enough to make me come and enjoy the great graphics(scenic at least) and music.
AoC on the other hand, which I'm playing now is unique enough that I can actually look past content flaws to the fun game it is.
For those who think this data was used from only those in the first month, I ask that we look at the day this info was released to us and how it wasn't released mid June when they knew who had bought the game. For what I can tell, by stating these numbers on June 30, over a month past launch, when people have resubbed.
I have resubbed so mine is one of the numbers.
