One of the awesome things about DF is that you can run it on an average or lower end system.
Yes this games crappy low poly outdated graphics are actually thought of as a "feature" by the fanboys.
LOL
Hilarious thread and question.
Games usually use low-poly models, mid-high poly models are only used in movies etc. Keep that in mind before you start flaming low-req games. ;)
If you know the company, go for it. If it was a spam'ish 'offer', better ignore it. ;)
Because we are held back by... reality checks! Having great ideas is one thing, actually making them work is the hardest part. ;) And it's actually a programmer's worst nightmare, heh. Having a great idea, and knowing you can't work it out. And if you do try to work it out, people call it vaporware (Darkfall).
Guild Wars isn't dying, nor is its population decreasing. A lot of people are starting to quit, but a lot of people are starting to play. ;) The only difference is that nobody cares about PvE anymore, after you've done it once, nobody really wants to do it again. So they go to PvP, which is just an elitism death match.
Even the most simple guilds have mic/vent req now, and if you askt hem why, they can't even give a reason.... Serious GvG/HA guilds, sure. AB guilds, why do they need mic/vent?
The game isn't dying, but it sure is death to me...

There are, but we're also getting paid for it, and we work at an actual office. ;)
How do you feel about advertising inside games?
