I am lvl 42 now and find the game more fun than ever but then again I have avoided the field of the dead so far and concentrated on city adventures in Tarantia.
I ran into the bugs in the Pyramid where I managed to kill the 2 mini bosses with the eyes before I got the quest to kill them and they never respawn and that means I cannot complete the quest for killing the main boss. Those kind of bugs are a little irritating but I got 1.5 lvl fighting my way through and had fun along the way until the bugged end.
1500 armor sets, well yes for NPC, on that I agree. Where is the massive costumization of player toons? Ok you do get unique looking armors from random drops from time to time but its impossible to plan a cool look so far.
To harvesting. Get your guild to create a player town. Then it create a separate resource instance for your guild and some day 2 others as they take the two other town slots in the zone. Then your guild can freely farm in there. You need to use the city guide to port to your personal resource area instead of the pontain/lotus/lekesh guide.
I disagree on the combat. As you level it becomes harder and harder to beat equal level mobs. You have to become better and better to fight to survive. At 42 its far more involved and exiting than it was at lvl 20.
Death penalty is a bit silly yes. The worst thing about dying is apart from the attack/defense debuff that you lose all buff effects on you including food bonuses and that cost a little money.
All in all I am still having fun. I am a little worried about the long term appeal of the game but that will depend entirely on how the endgame sieges and raid will work. So far no one really knows.
Another good review, your also gonna get flamed.

umm... yeah, there's definitely going to be a lot more assassins by release. Probably making at least 20% of the game's population, if not more. MMO veterans realize how great an advantage it is to pick your battles when and where without that much consent by your target. This is what assassins in any MMORPG strive on, which is why so many people QQ over them... and they all have a really simply flaw to beat them with... but I'd rather keep that to myself
I voted bear shaman myself... not because they're overpowered once you get them farther, but I just like the versatile classes. Either that, a HoX, or DT... but the HoX apparently at the moment is way too vulnerable and the DT is more of an AoE PvE tank than a damage dealer, so we'll see. I'll probably make a HoX as an alt.
This is THE reason rogue classes had been very powerful throu world pvp games. Thing is, in AOC. Ranges, barbargians also have awesome stealth, and all other classes got enough stealth to atleast avoid battles with and choose who to fight or not to fight.
Thats why i believe Barbarians is topping Assasin.
If you look at it generally, all the melee high survival/dps classes are popular.
Fighter Healer (bear shaman)
Fighter Caster (HoX)
Biffest rogue class (Barbarian)
2 Soldier classes (guardian and conquror)
Then you have the high dps low survival melee classes togheter with ranger:
Assasin, Ranger, DT (in its dps form im told its survival goes way down)
Then you have the Casters underrepped with the DPs casters lower then healers.
Overall its a pretty nice even string thou, but after a few months when the balances are figured out i expect those numbers tho shift severly, if they are even correct at this point.
