just roll MA and solo is a breeze......
you can pretty much hunt or mission with impunity for the first 50 levels or more with an MA.
MA:s.. That sure makes me walk down memory lane :) Me and JasonX held tjhe record for solo leveling MAs from 1-200 back in the days when the QL 200 missions were the shit :D
A total playtime of 6 days from 1-200 solo with MA. Dont know if it still holds true tho, stopped playing my MA @ 203 and switched to Shade shortly after shadowlands launch. However, I do remember my crat to be quite the solo artist if I wanted to, twink the hell out of that char and u be having ur Ninja droid up at early 70s and charming 2 other mobs and pretty much soloing hecklers (the best XP mob at the time, not sure now tho).
Man, I think Im reactivating my account.
The best mmorpg I ever played.. by a mile... Nothing else comes close, maybee L2 but nah... AO has what all mmorpg:s should strive for, depth and complexity.
Sure its a grindfest at times like every other game but it has a "massiveness" to it and depth that i havent felt in any other mmorpg out there to date.
And I will never forget ther good ol days with immense ingame politics and a highly involved community. Also something I havent seen in any other mmorpg, atleast not to the same extent.
Oh my, all nostalgic now, gotta log on.
Hmm so you are saying that the ingame bot thingy is a good thing because everyone can lvl 24/7 and not only the hardcore players, right? Well why dont they just remove the leveling feature all together? i mean seriously, why bother having the community rech the leveling cap is all that it takes is adjusting your bot once a day or so and then just leaving it on to do the rest? Let everyone start with a max lvl char and then...what?
Really eally weird for me this whole thing actually. I played L2 on and off for a few years and sure, the grindfest is horrible, and alot of people bot their chars to ever reach lvl cap indeed, still that is far better than just knowing that lvls mean absolutely nothing.. I mean, whats the satisfaction of being a high lvl char among everyone else?
For me any game that incorperates a level-feature into it has a certain element of "lvl competition" to it. Or a goal that will be there alongside with questing/pvp/itemfarming whatever. The one thing that in the end ruined L2 for me was that i downloaded and set up a private server (for my own personal use only) and then created some max lvl chars with all the best items etc, since then I never logged into L2 again. Tos um it up, what kept me going in L2 was the same thing that annoed me, reaching that glorias lvl cap and "perfecting" my character. If I could do that with a program and I knew everyone else was doing it aswell, well I just lvl it up and then stop playing once I reached the lvl cap I guess.
Long rant about nothing maybee, wasnt trying to provoke anything, just my thoughts about that feature.
