      no...no one?

I dont study business but   every company goes into some kind of debt when they make something new so what does that have to do with falling stock prices?

Falling stock prices have more to do with the expectations of investors and it seems like they were expecting a little more than what its delivering.  Funny, kind of like us players...  Not only did they trick their customers they also tricked the investors who probably thought they were going to be a close 2nd to WoW but look whos lauging now, Funcom, while the investors and players are crying.  LOL

    • UP FOR GRABS - Trial Key
    • Answering a trial key request is kinda pointless since you never know if they already got one or not, so heres one up for grabs first come first serve:

Try all 3 Guild Wars Campaigns!  14 day/ 10 hour trial for Guild Wars Prophecies, Guild Wars Factions, and Guild Wars NightFall

Just bough Eye of the North expansion for $10 to put on another account , cant go wrong with $10 I recommed it highly  dont waste your time on the trial the game is cheap already and free forever.

    • You hate travel time? Try EVE.   But this should be expected with games that charge you for your time, the more time the game can suck out of you the more money the game makes.

Time is money in MMO land with monthly fees and all, the more time to do something the  more money you spend to do it, its pretty simple..

Thats why any honest decent game wouldnt charge you a monthly fee, theyd charge you whatever it cost for them to publish the game not a penny more.  They respect your  time.  The penny mores will come when everyone loves your game and buys it  because its a real game a not scam.

Any real game would let you travel instantly to a town that youve already been too, cutting out the uneccary blah of going about your business.  Especially PVE heavy games.   Unless the gameplay relies on travel as a determining factor theres no reason to have this kind of time sink.  Not unless the reason its to get you to waste the maximium amount of time you can tolerate which equates to the maximum amount of profits the game can make.

And not surprisingly games that dont charge monthly fees add these time saving features like instant travel, free respecs and on and on, like GUILDWARS!!

Its the same reason we dont watch people goto the bathroom or eat a full diner on TV, because its pointless and TV shows dont charge you by the minute you watch,  if they did you can sure bet TV would be filled with pointeless crap like watching paint dry or anythign that could waste your time and money.   But MMO's are relatively new and you can sure bet they'll add any feature they can think of to get you to spend more tiem and money as long as paying $15 a month for "multiplayer"  games that used to be free a is popular right now that will be the way they operate-  to waste your time and ultimately money.

Now I dont mind wasting time, wasting time for fun is a good deal in my book what else are you going to spend time on?  But I dont find spending time travelling through a place ive been through 100 times "fun". IF I already slaughtered all the enemies to get to the next outpost once I shouldnt have to redo it again and again just to move around.

thats not an MMO at all then :/

he is right, its BF2 with connecting servers

Think of it this way. AoC is a lot like Guild Wars. The only difference is, when you enter a zone, you can see everyone in that zone up too a max of 48 people per server for that zone. So if theres 10 servers and theres 48 people in every zone, that's 480 people that you can interact with. But only 48 at any one time. With Guild Wars you can only see those in your party until you enter another town.

It is still a massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. It's just everyone is grouped up into cages rather than being able to rome around with each other. BF2 on the other hand is just a game with a bunch of servers that you can connect too. There is a distinct difference. Many will argue, but AoC is still an MMORPG. They call Guild Wars an MMORPG and it's no different really.

Theres no difference between BF2 and any MMO when it comes down to it...  its all a bunch of zones instances servers call it what you want but its still a room full of people that kill each other in. In AOC the limit is 48vs48 in BF2 its 32vs32 in Joint Ops its 100vs100, ive played all the mmo's even EVE with 600 player lagging in Jita you still never see more than 100 or so in your area anyway, and  the most massive game ive played when it comes to how many people ive actually playing and competeing with at one time was Joint Operations Typhoon rising on a 200 player server filled to the tits, that was massive, sure the map wasnt 100000km of empty space but the damn game was massive with all the people playing and by definition its not a massively multiplyer online game ... funny how that works, a game with 100vs100 isnt a MMo but a game thats 48vs48 is...  whys that? the only thing massive about mmo's is the amount of money youll spend before your finished with them.

      edit:

Oh right,  BF2 doesnt have a 3d chatroom,  thats another difference I guess ...
