  • How? How can you tell if this game is playable based on the info you read here? All you get is contradictory information from people that don’t explain themselves. One thread says it’s great the other says it sucks? “My load time was 5 minutes” vs “My load time is 8 seconds”. Dude, if that provides you the info you need then great but frankly I need more then that in order to understand what this game is like. Info that goes into each character build, how the feat trees work, is one class better a soloing then another…that’s the kind of info I’m after and it ain’t in here.

    Ahh the good old days when this forum used to provide some insight – a little bit of info on the combat system, hey check out the Mammoth, ohhhh cool vid from Avery, etc. Enough that I’d come back every day or so to see what the latest morsel of info was.

    Now? What’s the point? All there is are 20 page threads comparing AoC to WOW and statements of “If you play AoC you’re a girl!” That doesn’t even make any sense. You can go through here and count the threads: Fanboi, Fanboi, Troll, Fanboi, Fanboi, Troll, piece of Info regarding beta key…and repeat.

    There are lots of sites that provide detailed information…wait for it…from people who have actually played the game…like from lvl 1 to 80!! Not just PvPed over a weekend or got their character to lvl 5. You want to know what it’s like to play a Barb from 1 to 80? Or how bout the best feat tree for Necro, that’s the kind of stuff that should be discussed on the forum. You’re going to hit me with the old NDA thingie right? Well bub, all this info is out there and with the game 2 weeks away, does anyone really care? I suggest to anyone who is truly interested in finding out if this is a game for them, google Conan Beta and see what leaks there are.

    Last point – In our AoC forum we’ve received just a tiny taste of what the guys over on the Darkfall forum have to deal with day in and day out. My heart goes out to them because fans SHOULD have a place where they can discuss things about their game without idiots (read trolls) harassing them 24 x 7.
    
    To all those who look forward to playing AoC, I hope it meets your every desire. To those who think its WOW2 and very ghay, I hope you find what you’re looking for.

    to the OP, I can only assume that you have some need to have the best gear on the server based on the QQing you're doing. Please understand that this game isn't built for you personally, it's built to appeal to millions of customers - some of whom enjoy raiding. Personally I don't ,so I won't raid and therefor i won't get the phat lootz that are in these instances. And i couldn't care less. I'm going to take from the game those parts that are appealing to me - exploring, questing, and Mini-game PVPing.

    Hell in the 2 years i've played WOW i've never raided, I don't even have BC - i found what i enjoyed doing and just did that. Now i have a bunch of twinked chars and i get on and BG. (My account runs out on May 17th - talk about timing! booyeah). So while I'm really interested in the fact that you're NOT going to play and the reasons why....errrr no I  really don't care why you're not going to play. Go hit the Darkfall boards and wait for your perfect game, or better yet why don't you develop you're own game that meets your particular needs.

     

    You play WoW and your going to go play WoW2/AoC.

    Yes i am - I'm going to play AoC while you sit around and respond to forum threads...i wonder who will be having more fun? Keep waiting for 'you're 'perfect' game to come out. I guess the only way you have fun is to try an crap on other people's idea of fun. You're an obvious troll who's looking to create as many messages on your stupid topic as possible. It that helps you over come your small wee-wee issue then knock yourself out.
