• • How can people say AoC is gear based?

  • The point remains though that The game is not Heavily gear based, it in my opinion is just as gear based as SWG, where i went with just wearing a trenchcoat the whole game, and still destroying in PvP with my Pre-Nerf FWG5 kyrat pistol!

    It means itemization in the game is lacking so there isn't a whole lot of gear, in which case it can't be all that gear-based

    
    So basically its saying im right, but still trying to bring the game down.

    I didnt believe it until i played the open beta and it was still the same as the pvp weekend.

     

    I thought maybe they just got rid of the armor rating for the pvp but no its in the finished game too.

     

    There is no armor rating, and as i said i went straight into PvP with only my loin cloth on and i kicked ass, i was a 20 barbarian, and i know for a fact i killed 10 people while without armor in that play period.

     

    Aftert that i put my armor back on cause it looked cool but i still killed alot of people.

  • When there is no armor rating on items? With No 110 armor for a chest peice, no +5 helm with 48 armor, and defense?

     

    When in the PvP weekend i went without armor, and kicked ass against many opponents one on one?

     

    How today i was level 12 took off all my armor and fought off a mob? They wernt easy mobs either, the armor just really doesnt add that much!

     

    So seriously how can anyone say its gear based?
