Well if you look at the second guy's other posts, he/she mainly gets on MMORPG.COM to talk about politics. LOL! ![]()
If you can't appreciate the fact that SOE traditionally nerfs their games all the time (like it is a big secret or something) then go play a different game, there are a ton of them out there. If you think that removing some of the boring grind part of a game is making it easy then go play L2 or any one of the trillion cookie cutter Asian grinders on the market today.
Some of us have real world lives and it is nice being able to make progress in a game and still being able to have a life. That is why they have rested XP. If you want to play long hours every day then you will progress along on single XP and if you just play a few days you will be on double xp or you can even turn the XP off if you want to wait for a friend to catch up.
The goal of playing a game is to have fun. Hard does not equal fun. Challenge is what you want and the challenge is still in the game. Getting to end game is still there, they just took out some of the boring repetion. So now you have to kill a few less mobs to get to the end. They were not the reason you played in the first place. If you want to make the game longer then why not just stop once an hour and write "I killed a mob" on a piece of paper a 1000 times and then resume gameplay. It will make it harder but won't change the game a bit in content and maybe it will restore what you truly signed up to do in the first place.![]()
Yes, it will not have an option for it. If you start a new account you will not have to put in any CC info (in fact I didn't even put an email address in) and it takes only a few seconds to process.
I have been all over the place so you are not restricted to the starter area and there does not seem to be a level cap either so far (I am lvl 13) so I will continue to play for at least the 14 days.
I played EQ for years then EQ2 at launch and they I really got into SWG and got station access and the whole 9 yards. Then SOE ruined the SWG experience for me and I was so bent that I canceled everything. Even now there is something in me that says don't do it as long as SOE is in charge but I am trying to forget about it and have fun.
I love the graphics and it runs perfect at high settings on my machine. The whole game seems to have gotten better and now I have links to some good sites for information so I can read up on builds and quests and such. I am on the PVP server and have yet to get ganked! ![]()
If you get on and want to send a tell my toon's name is angelion.
Thank you for the information! I really appreciate it !

Ok I played at launch for the first year and had a few toons of high level at that time. Now I am looking at the game again and signed up for the 14 day trial. As it was only for new accounts I had to start a new station account in order to do the trial. Things have changed quite a bit since I last played and I am thinking about starting up a sub when this trial is over.
My question is will I still have my old toons from when I first started. I don't know if they keep them or if I will have to start over. The server I use to play on (Unrest) is not even on the list anymore. I have no way of getting into the account without resubbing so I am a little lost on this.
If I have to start over then I will just stay with my new account since I already have a level 11 beserker that I am really enjoying. I am on the PVP server as I played on one in WOW and liked it better that the PVE servers. Is it open PVP or just in contested zones? Can you PVP other players from your side or just the oposing side?
I remember that I use to be able to sell from my house but had to stay online to sell. Have they changed this (do they have an auction house?). As I am doing the trial I don't have an instruction manual. I have the original manual taht came with my collector's edition from years ago but it seems there have been so many changes that it is worthless for most questions. Can anyone recommend a good site for builds and such and quest help (like thottbot).
If you get any abuse in chat all you have to do is right click on the persons name in chat and select report spam from the drop down. Thay have by far the easiest system of any game for reporting abuse I have ever seen. No need to open a ticket and it takes all of 3 seconds and 2 clicks of the mouse.
Which console would you like to see MMOs released for?
