    Even if you subscribe and make a negative post  the forum police delete it anyway, nothing negative is allowed, and rapidly followed by the want to be forum police fanbois who flame you to death for saying anything negative against there game.

    
     

    Oh, come on. Nothing negative is "allowed" on the o-boards? Are you high? People post extremely negative things on there ALL THE TIME, and they don't get deleted. Don't make stuff up.

    And the tool only counts players who are not on /anon, some people (mainly PvP'ers) still use that thinking the new tool would give away there exact location (it does not). So every result will be low because of that.

     

    Does the new grouping tool not allow screenshots to be taken?

    If you can login, why not go do the same method Gutboy just described and look for yourself? 

    What's the point in posting screenshots when the next claim will likely be they were photoshopped ;)

    Gutboy is trying to convince us that the server populations are healthy and even flourishing. I know that if I log on to just about any server it will be a ghost town. I (and others) have posted plenty of screenshots and videos of the game showing no players but we are always told that the players are spread out or hidden in instances. If that's true then it should be easy with the new grouping tool to show hundreds of people on at any given time. Are you saying that's an unreasonable assumption to make?

    
     

    I'm sorry...were you unable to read what Gutboy wrote?  He told you how he came to the number he posted and posted directions on how you can do the same. 

    Yep. I read every word. I don't believe him. Neither does anybody else.

    I can't speak for all the vets but I certainly don't hate anybody. I feel sorry for people that are being deceived by SOE but I don't hate them.

    Well, you just basically referred to everyone who still plays as "stupid." So maybe not hate (in YOUR case), but you still feel somehow smarter than them because you choose not to play it.

    Please explain to me how people are being "deceived" by SOE, as it stands, right now.

    The game used to have 250k players and generous estimates put it at around 7k these days. I think that sums it up pretty well.

    Please show me the evidence of the incredibly lowball 7K "estimate."

    It should be easy to prove me wrong but I have yet to see anybody do it. We vets have asked for screenshots of the huge population the fanbois keep crowing about but none have really been provided.

    You didn't cite any source for your "generous estimate," which leads me to believe it's a number you made up.

    Is anyone outside of the most ardent "fanboi" -- as you are so quick to pigeonhole everyone who doesn't march in lockstep with the so-called "vets" -- arguing that the game's population is truly healthy, or that it's anywhere close to what it was pre-NGE? No, and honestly, anyone who does can't really be taken seriously. But neither can anyone who honestly insists there's no more than 7,000 players across all 20-some-odd servers.

    When I see "SWG only has 4k subs," I'll call you a liar all I damn well please.

    And the "SWG is three months from shutdown" just makes me laugh every time I read it.

    Yes, the last generous estimate I got was 7k but the way things have been going I could totally believe that it had fallen to 4k. I bet it sucks to be a viral marketer for SOE these days...
