I came back about a month ago, I started a new Ranger and have ben hooked ever since. Guilds are easy to come by and will give you plenty of grouping options if you want. I solo about 90% of the quests. But if I get to one that to hard to solo I ask my guild to help and i usaly can get a few guys to come help me. I for one dont mind the player models at all. They also have a new newbie zone that you can start at. Why dont you give "Isle of Dawn" a try. I think there is a free trial offer if you just want to test out your cpu 1st. Seems like I see more and more people on now then ever before. They merged some of the serveres together. Still Its a BIG world so the population can seem sparse at time's. Just depends on when you play and what server your on. Like most games I see alot more people on the weekends and in prime time (US).
I Have played EQ, EQII, WOW, COH, SWG, AOC, EVE, UO, and many others, I like this game much more than EQ II wich is more like Vanguard than any of the other games I listed In my opinion.
Like I said fire up the free trial and give it a go.
