Hey Matt, I've been following this one since early March and I plan on playing it with my guild. Since its release is a bit away, we do not yet have Global Agenda included on our site yet. We will, however, do so in the near future...other than a thread for discussion about it.
I'll definitely be around in these forums so I'll post something when the game's release gets closer.
Plenty of people will be playing this in the West.Once it is released I think the interest in it will increase very rapidly, for a lot of people it is still under the radar. I'll check it out.
I admit it...I have not read your blog entry yet! I will check it out later today. For all I know you might have arrived at a different conclusion, but perhaps not?I just wanted to share what I experienced.
I've played the Korean beta and made some videos. It's not at all like EQ2 or WOW. Erase all of that thinking from your mind. It's like Unreal Tournament 3 with some PvE type mobs thrown in. There is PvP too, obviously. It is a graphically beautiful game (beta) with a trace of potential. Overall, I think it is safe to say that it is a fairly mediocre game with pleasing eye candy.
PvP combat = bunny hopping a ton. You just jump or crouch. Don't expect to use any kind of realistic tactics, it is more of an arcade shooter than a tactical shooter. Not that anyone expected it to be SWAT 5 but it's very simplistic in that regard.
I am one of those people who have been tracking this for several years. I bet that 99% of those who are looking forward to this game are going to find something that is completely different than what they've built up in their mind.
I was not all worked up over it, I just didn't think it would be Unreal Tournament 3 badly disguised as an MMO.
"From Sept 10, 2008 to Sept 19, 2008 @ 9PM EST we will be accepting entries into a random drawing where we will give away 500 beta access slots for Stargate Worlds!"
2 inches away on same page...
"We will be selecting all 100 winning tickets and contacting each one by e-mail as well as MMORPG.COM private mail. "
Definitely odd. I like MMORPG and CME but it's just weird to have 100 and then 500 in the same breath.
FILL the servers?
Hahaha.
What game are we talking about , again?
No one I know who has quit (100 + people) will be going back.
Which console would you like to see MMOs released for?
