  • Out of all the classes i have played across both factions, my favourite without a doubt is the engineer. The sound eefects are really good, everybody knows when an engi opens up with his rifle *BOOM*. You also get deployable turrets (only ones i have used so far are the rapid fire one and the flame one) which are cool and really handy (they will also be getting a buff in the latest patch). You get grenades too which add to the tactical ability of this class.

    Like other people have said, the engi is more of a defensive class in RvR, i found myself far more effective when trying to keep the enemy at bay or pin them down than at attacking. All in all though i find this class really really fun and thats the main thing.

  • I still can't download the patch, still getting the error.

    Very similar to me, i only wanted to play Destruction as a Chosen or Marauder and then just to see what they were like i made a Dwarf Engineer and it's now my favourite class. I've only been playing the classes to rank 6 or 7 because i know my chars will get wiped for headstart but in every scenario i played with my engineer i came top, really fun even though we lost most of the games.

    I like WAR but to say the graphic are better the LOTRO is a joke.

     

    Like i said WAR doesn't have the full list of graphics options available yet so i forced the AA and AF in the control panel, and to me it does look slightly better than LoTRO. The animations are better, the character graphics and models are better and the armour actually looks like armour in WAR, in LoTRO the armour looks like it's stretched over the character. LoTRO though does have absolutely fantastic water graphics.

    I also much prefer the art direction WAR to LoTRO.
