I'm curious what the original problem was and how you finally solved it?
It's not firewall or vista problems, I've played AC before and I have xp ^^
the original problem was that I was unable to create a subscription due to errors on the site. it got fixed by a turbine support guy. he/she added the cd-key to a previous account (which I had forgotten all about). I managed to get all the account info and play for a day. now I cannot log in. I get the same "authentication failed " message as if the account is non-existant. but I don't care any longer, they can keep my money and I can live without having something for my purchase
