  • Pathetic, pure and simple. From the very first time i logged in, way back in CB, up to the actual release, i have maintained the biggest problems with AOC was their trust in thinking that by showing off tits and ass, that was going to sell this game.

    Forget about the things they said were going to be ingame at launch. What about the over, over instancing and general lack of grand exploration in Hyboria.

    I honestly believe that if they would have made the mmo with more sandbox elements and not dev spoonfed directed content, the few things that weren't in at launch and even most bugs would have been forgiven and even would had given the devs more time to develope and fix and even polish the game.

    They made the world of Conan, simplistic and right down dull.

  • It's hard for me to see if it will give me the same feeling that swg pre cu did, until i can actually play. That being said, from what the video showed, it looks promising.

    I guess it will be filled with 10 yr. olds the same way UO, SWG pre-cu and EVE was and is. All 3 of those mmo's had and still has the most mature communities in any mmo's to date.  SWG only turned crybaby when they released the crapfest NGE.

    Let's remember this shall we. 10 yr. olds can't understand and grasp mmo's that have a complexity built in them. This is the reason why WOW is so huge. Personally for me, i have already made my mind up to purchase WAR, as well i signed up for DF beta.

    If DFcan deliver all the things that they say they can at launch, then it will be a hell of a mmo, even with mediocre graphics. In the end it's really about what you the individual finds fun and entertaining.

  • I live in Baton Rouge and from the looks of it, this storm could still hit to the East or the West of me. You can't imagine how everyone now takes storms of this magnitude way more serious after Katrina. Things here are much more in order and Gov Jindal was on top of this very quickly.

    The biggest reason that Katrina went so bad for so many was because of ex Gov Blanco. She couldn't poor piss out of a boot and didn't have a clue on how to evacuate and access the situation.

    It looks like this storm is gonna make landfall sometime monday evening and i can tell you, if it does hit to the west of Baton Rouge, it sucks balls with all the rain and wind. I can handle the rain, the wind and the power outages is the most horrible part.

    So i will say, just like the OP. If you are on the gulf coast, GET OUT!
