As the topic states: i am looking for a good pvp duo setup, possibly the best. A friend and myself are starting up new so we will be at a disadvantage gear wise and hope a good setup will help compinsate (along with skill). We are playing Qeynos atm, but feel free to mention freeport setups too.

I mean the topic is based on the lack of support.... everything else is irrelevant. It's just easy for me to use DAOC's support abilities (as well as WoW's) in making my point.........
When remembering the old days of roaming emain in DAOC with their 8 man setup, one knows how utility was vital to a groups success (especially when versing more numbers).
In WAR when i look up class abilities--skill listing, "talents" and other tools, i don't see ANY key group utility, such that which resembles or was found in Dark Age.
What utility do i speak of? We'll let's see what WAR did not "port" over as far from what i can tell.
No Near sight (an ability which reduces a casters casting range)
No Disease (or in WoW terms a nerfed AOE MS debuff with slight speed reduction)
No MEZ (along with this is no "de-mez" counter)
No Group Pulsing Blade Turn (PBT)
No to very limited Positional attacks, and follow ups.
No Group Speed class ( so it will most likely be mounts as in WoW, or the squig herder for example may have a group speed buff but it will most likely be slower then mounts---so think of it in WoW as the Hunter's aspect of cheetah or whatever. Not very useful endgame)
This is just a few examples, and i know its comparing WAR to DAOC, and the WoW kids will most likely say "This is not DAOC GET OVER IT" but that is not the point I'm trying to make. The point is simple, No Support Utility, or lack therefore of, means LESS SKILL BASED competition. I'm sorry but in DAOC terms, without the above utility, and a good player utilizing the skills given, it would be impossible for a organized group to kill 2-3 non-organized groups, utilizing utility is how the good groups separate themselves from the bad. I mean come on, everyone can /assist, or heal, i was hoping it would be more in depth then that.
Is this something we should be worrying about? Because as a DAOC fan, and an overall Team-PvP fan, i was hoping this game would be a skill based competitive game, but it seems like they are dumbing everything down (even the classes?), and removing such support means easy-mode for bad players.
What is your opinion on the subject? Because all i see is knockbacks, roots, and silence/disarms, which unfortunately sounds more like WoW pvp.
Edit: Opinion is based off EA-mythic's publicly released videos of RVR, screens, and WAR fan sites. So if you know more information then by all means provide it, but in a constructive / positive manner which is relevant to the subject matter.
NOTE: Just looking for view points on it, thought i would see how the mmorpg.com community feels.
Getting game later, thinking about this class.
