    I have played every class except the following, Priest of Mitra,Guardian. Event hough I havent played those two classes my friends have, and I have seen them played so I know how their mechanics work.

     

    The best casting dps hands down is (Demonologist)

    The best AOE melee dps is (Barbarian)

    The best single target dps is (Assasin)

    The best tank overall (Guardian)

    THe Best group support tank (Dark Templar)

    The best DPS tank (Conquerer)

    The best buffer/healer dps melee (Bear Shaman)

    The best healer is  (priest of mitra)

    The best Support healer/Nuker hybrid is (tempest of set)

    The Best long range melee dps is (Ranger, traps from current gameplay are 1 minute CD)

    The Best dot spells are from the (Necromancer, micro management class) (2nd best magic based dps)

    The best hybrid melee based dps is the (Herald of Xotli) (most combat skills require a 2 handed sword or club, this is a mage type class)

    
    actyaly barbarian hits alot harder then assassin even on single targets..    especialy in pvp cuz we dont have reach and all you have to do is move an inch away and our combos will miss... also assassins have no cc unless you count feats.. then u get a single stun/confuse at lvl 60  if you go corruption    you get a knockdown at around 30 with lotus tree but it doesnt work in pvp

    
    I am including feats in my response, sorry if I didnt post it.  Assasin does do single strongest melee dps comming out of stealth however hands down, after stealth breaks and regarding multiple targets, the barbarian hands down does the most dps. Barbarian is not as good as the Assasin though as far as stealth goes, and he doesnt have as much of a +damage out of stealth attack.  I have compared both of these running stealth at full skill level 1-30.  You are right though once out of stealth, the barbarian does hit much harder then the assasin ONLY when using a 2-hander however.  Assasin will always out-dps an a barbarian single target, as long as the assasin starts in stealth.

    i have both assassin and barbarian 40+..   at 45 my asssins  "backstab"  wich is the from stealth attack..  does about 800-900 dmg..    on my barbarian the same attacks does between 700-800..  thats not a big differance..   and once the combat starts barbarian out damages assasin in all aspects dual wielding and 2h..    the dps differance on our weapons is part of the problem..   the barbarians dual weild weapons have 50+ dps.. on the low 40 weapons..   on my   daggers i have 41.5 dps...  thats with the +5 dps bonus i got from my gear..             and a barb 2h weapon has almost 70dps on it..   not tho all these have the same attack speed..   so his swords/axes swing the same speed my daggers do..

     

    as it was just released i expect this to change a bit..  but   Right Now  Barbarian does more dmg to both single and multiple targets then a assassin can do even counting the from stealth attack..  yea we get a bonus 100-200 dmg on the first attacks  you can make that up with a barb in 2 swings.. Easily..

  • as it stand currently the barbarian is better then the assassin in almost every way..  it has all the bonuses assassin gets but none of the disadvangates

    for example  the "backstab" that assassin get is a huge chunk of the damage they do..   barbs also have the same thing..

    assassin can take maybe 1-2 combos if taht in pvp before they die..  barbs can take 4-6.. usualy

     

    barbarians have CC    assassins have None   unless you count snap kick.. which is a knockdown and DOESNT WORK in pvp

     

    barbarians weapons have insane dps compared to assassin weapons..

    at lvl 40 a Good assassin weapon has about 40 dps...  a good barbarian weapon has almost 60 dps.. and im talking a good barbarian duel weilding weapon not a 2h weapon.. a good barb 2h weapon has about 70 dps.. at least the ones ive seen..   

    so currently barbarians have more health/armor/damage and CC  then assassins     hopefuly this will be fixed ..

  • i think part of it is a  a driver issue  in the pvp beta i was getting 25+ fps.. always unless i was in a Big fight..      now im lucky if i get 15+  most of the time..   one thing that help my fps alot at first was switching from shader model 3.0 to 2.0 and turning off water reflections completly    to can do those 2 things without losing much graphics quality  if your going for good graphics     

    personaly im gonna see if my video card is working without problems  by the end of the month.. if it isnt i might not subsribe or i might just go get an 8800 gts.. since there only about 100$ right now

  • its a problem with ati cards  should be fixed soon  alot of people with varieying  ati cards are having the same problems.. i have a x1550 its a bit older then yours i think but its still playable for the most part..   basicaly im just waiting it out till the dev team gets off there  vaction and starts fixing everything agin
